Saw this featured on another board and have to say that this is some of the best new stuff Ive heard all year!

 

All the songs featured on their myspace are excellent!

 

Especially 'Story Of Life' ( :bowdown: ) and 'Catch The Feeling'..........bloody awesome solos going on as well.

 

This is really great great stuff - kind of like Work Of Art with a modern sound.

 

Unsigned...........WTF!??

 

Looks like they have an album being recorded though and should be released soon.

 

If the whole thing is like this, I can see a potential album of the year on the cards.

fuck me have a listen to the video diary as well for some more clips....esp at around the 2.30 mark...that clip blew me away, sounds awesome.

Not bad mate. Sounds like a mix of, as you say Work of Art and someone like Eclipse. Sounds pretty good, but tone it down a litte, mate. Not sure why you're that excited! :lol:

 

To be honest, 'Story of my life' wouldn't make it onto my Ipod let alone list of best songs of 2009 and I have a bad feeling this CD would just be another release amongst the pack this year. but I'll give 'em a go when it's released. :) Nice find mate.

Yeah, it's nice mate but not any better than most the stuff off that last Eclipse disc. Which was great but nothing from that made it onto my Ipod either. :)

Sounds good. Where is Melodicrock Records based? I was hoping it was based in Australia and there'd be nice inter-Australia postage rates. Doesn't look like it though. :(

Well after first commenting on these guys back in June 2009 (!!!), Im thrilled to have the final product in my hand.

 

All I say is well done Andrew for signing these guys and getting this album out - this is really a great slab of melodic rock.

 

I can honestly say that I like every track on offer, but the real favs are the uptempo killer songs with amazing choruses and there are quite a few of them -

 

'BOD', 'A Little Bit', 'Just Imagine', 'Story Of Life', 'Catch The Feeling' and 'Keep Me Alive' are all amazing in my opinion.

 

Also I absolutely love this dudes voice....he reminds me of the original singer of Tupelo Honey (on the Machines and Robots EP).....and that is high praise indeed, as he was awesome

 

Another winner in 2010!

 

(PS Andrew, if you read this.....did that guy from Sahara Rain ever get in contact with you??)

      Released back in 2019 on vinyl only in most of the world, the only place it could be purchased on CD was Japan. It is finally available on CD to the rest of the world with the addition of two bonus tracks. One is the usual "bonus" track of a live recording of Go man go, and the other is the song Don't give up which was released at the start of the pandemic as a single. https://townsendmusic.store/product/140275?lf=035f179d9c80928d2d3b155fa72b0731 Follow the breadcrumbs to a sonic treasure trove with Alice Cooper's "Breadcrumbs" EP, which will be available on CD for the first time ever, featuring additional bonus tracks on this edition! Originally released in 2019 as a limited-edition 10" vinyl record, "Breadcrumbs" is a tribute to the garage rock heroes of Alice Cooper's hometown of Detroit. The EP features six tracks that showcase Cooper's raw and energetic take on classic Detroit tunes, including Suzi Quatro's "Your Mama Won't Like Me", Bob Seger's "East Side Story", and the MC5's "Sister Anne".       Not gonna lie, I kind of like it. Hardly classic Crue, more like something that would have appeared on the Corabi-fronted self-titled album, but it's not bad for an oldschool band trying a modern hard rock song. That being said, I expect my opinion to be a lonely one, and I understand why fans are dogging on it...

      Hi everybody, my band (Ricky Shindig) just released a cover version of Journey's Separate Ways. Before we were Ricky Shindig, three of us were in a cover band together. As a little "turn back time" we decided to record a cover song while we slowly start working on some new material.  We chose 'Separate Ways' because this song is an essential part of every Ricky Shindig party and one of the catchiest songs ever written.       Posted the first few videos when they dropped but realised I had not posted about the album, which is probably as I can't afford it. Not only is the CD $20 ($30 signed), but the postage to the UK is $46.25, which is by far the most anyone from the USA has tried to charge. Their answer when I questioned this was "We don't control the postal system". Now I know US prices are high on postage, but not this high. $30 seems to be the norm these days, but I have had two CD orders from the USA that have cost $9 and $5 (not sure how but I aint complaining). Anyway, the album is already out
