Songs with a key change in the end

I want to compile quite an extensive playlist of hard rock songs that has a key change in the end.

Why? Cause I think it sounds awesome :headbanger:

Some well known exambles are:

Bon Jovi - Living On a Prayer

Wig Wam - In My Dreams

Danger Danger - Don't Blame it on Love

H.E.A.T - Beg Beg Beg

  • Kristian changed the title to Songs with a key change in the end

H.E.A.T - 1000 Miles

Vega - Hands In The Air

The Defiants - Stay

Issa - River of Love

I'm at work right now so that's all I know off the top of my head but I'll look through my library for more when I get a chance.

Am I the only person who has no idea whether there is a key change in a song or not? :P

Probably not alone, but I would think you're in the minority.

I think the majority of people who listen to music (which is most of the human race) don't even know what key change means let alone know when they hear one. Musicians obviously will, but most people don't give a damn about that stuff. Knowing what a key change is, really does not effect someones ability to enjoy music so most people don't bother with the technical terms.

I think most people (if not all) will hear a difference in the last chorus of Belinda Carlisles "Heaven is a place on earth", compared to the other choruses in the song, the same goes for Bon Jovi's "Living on a prayer".

Whether or not they know it's a change of key is (as you pointed out) irrelevant.

But, that's what I'm going for anyway.
