Was blown away by this as i'm sure you all we be too.

Got me thinking about how many absolute master guitar virtuosos there have been that have gone unnoticed or unrecognized because they don't look the part.

If she was hot we'd all know her name and she'd be up there with the greats.

Interesting from the comments section:

Joanna Connor (the woman in the video) played like this 35 years ago, but more musical. She is a groundbreaking blueswoman and blues singer. She hangs in Chicago now and performs there. An incredibly talented woman who has fronted her own blues band for decades. I thought she really had a chance to crossover into popular music as she is also a talented songwriter, but it never really happened. Joanna is from Worcester , MA. but moved to Chicago a long time ago. I was her guitar teacher in Worcester. And played lead guitar with her for a year in a blues/rock band along with her then husband Tony Conner (bass). I recognized her immense talent right away. We were more into acoustic blues then. I would give her an advanced fingerpicking piece to work on and she would have it down cold a week later. Only one other of my students ever could do that. And she had a soulful blues voice. She moved on out of Worcester and made an album called "Believe It!" with her Chicago band. This was around the early 80's. You didn't see very many blues bands fronted by females playing kickass guitar 30 years ago and singing like she did. She was like a Bonnie Raitt, who was well known in our area. Sometimes she leaves Chicago for a festival now and then. If you ever get a chance, see her. She's a force.

Thanks for that.

I didn't read the comments originally. It's good to see that she at least has achieved some form of recognition for her awesome talent.

Not too many women can handle an "Advanced Fingerpicking".

    • Also last couple of songs have an Axl Rose or Stephen Shareaux vibe to them.
    • He has such a familiar and somewhat comforting voice. For me he was the best of Krokus. The Blitz, Change Of Address and Heart Attack. Not to say I don't like otehr songs, I do, but he make Krokus a nice rounded package with great consistant songs. This song is a bit too AC/DC for me, but as usual hookier and a better tune than most ACDC songs
    • So I've listend to this enough to review it. Overall it's a ptrtty good album. Most of the songs are good or really good. Not many if any great or mind blowing songs. So for me it's an easy album to listen to. Most of the songs will be keepers, amny of them will just scrape through as keepers.
