Sonic Syndicate - Confessions

My mate sent me this this morning saying "Dude your gonna love this" and my first thought was no i'm not it's Sonic Syndicate, all metalcore and shitty screamo vocals etc,well i'm on my 5th listen and i freakin' love it.

These guys have completely reinvented themselves and are as far from their original sound as you can get. You have synth hooks,vocal hooks,nice harmony vocals and i LOVE IT!!!!!! but i just know hardcore SS fans are gonna slate this. Well their loss is our gain as this album is AWESOME!!!

This sounds good. The only song I really liked from them was 'My Escape'. The rest was pretty much shitty.

I listened to the album samples the other night and liked it, but it sounded like the usual Sonic Syndicate to me.

Why don't you doods listen to me? I forget where I said it, but somewhere on this forum I carried on about how impressive their last album was - 'We rule the night,' from 2010. 'My 'Escape' was a sensational song, but for their last album (until now, apparently) they all but abandoned the screams and created a fine album. I swear I posted these videos somewhere already, but here's a few tunes from the album;

 

 

 

 

 

Anyway, thanks a bunch for the heads up about the new album. I thought the band was long gone so I'm glad to see they're back with new tunes after such a long hiatus. Seems to be the year for it.

Dude i hate to break it to you but the new album sounds completely different to the songs you posted.

 

Just sayin.

 

2 or 3 of those are still full on with screams.

Just strategically left them out of some of the more commercial songs.

The new one does sound lighter overall, but still definitely has links with 'We rule the night.' Yeah, there's still a few screams on that album, but definitely nothing in the world like the album with 'My Escape' on it... which was all screams.

I haven't picked this one up yet though.

New drummer and bass.
Same vocals and guitar for the last 3 albums.

In the beginning they were a 6 piece band and nowadays officially 3 piece.
