I'm hoping it doesn't disappoint. From the sounds of it, it won't, but you never know until you have the full product in rotation.

I finally got to properly play this song. Fucking Brilliant! The vocals are amazing and the guitar solo is sheer wickedness. This one will surely be on my top 10 of 2016.

OH JESUS! NOOOOOO!

I just saw the video for the track Havoc on Melodicrock. It's fucking terrible. Sounds like a bad Shinedown imitation....although with a great solo.

First it was Dream Theater and now Circus Maximus, what are some of my favorite bands doing? Even the new Reckless Love track has left me cold.

Really? I haven't listened to it, yet. That makes no sense. Why go that direction? Hopefully it's just the one track.

People on Youtube are comparing it to Marilyn Manson....and not in a flattering way...if there was one.

Wow. Yeah. There's nothing there that resembles Circus Maximus.

I preferred them when they started as DT/Symphony X clones. Their first is still my favorite from them. And I could still listen to their 2nd, which btw I didn't buy. Then they lost me.

See, I'm not a huge fan of the first. Second is great. Third is phenomenal!!

Damn. They posted the single on their FaceTubes, and they are getting berated there, too. On one hand I feel sorry for them, but, then, they should know better.

So much hate for this song.

I wonder if it's too late to remove the song from the album or have they already all been pressed? To think that 3 minutes of crap may sink this release.

It majorly pains me to see topics on this band, while similar topics on Conception, Spiral Achitect, Manitou, Arcturus, Wind, Anesthesia are missing. Having just typed this, I must confess I'm not in the mood to open them, because I'm still concentrating in my 1976/1986/1996/2016 comprehensive reviews.

They just released another track called 'Pages', although not brilliant, it does at least sound like CM and yet again has a crazy good guitar solo.

OK.....three really good tracks and one sorta dud that is only 3 minutes long....I can live with that.

Cool video for this one as well.

I've listened to this track like 6 or 7 times in the past few hours...if you loved Last Goodbye from Nine you should love this one. I've already ordered this one.

Well, it's not in their favor that I've listened to their new album(Jap. pressing) next to the new Redemption. Although, overall, a good release, it pales in comparison with Redemption.

Actually Redemption tried to follow the formula of Circus Maximus, Threshold and other easy listening so called "prog metal" bands and they wipe the floor with them all in their field. But, I'll leave that for a Redemption topic, which, btw, I'm not in the mood of creating.

Initial thought on this, a more melodic approach, maybe less metal and more in the hard rock category, still have that prog touch but a volatile album. Four tracks I really love here are 'The Weight', 'Flames' (being the best one), 'Loved Ones', and 'Remember', and clearly dislike 'Havoc' so much and 'Pages' is a bit let down too. A strong production and of course solid musicianship but overall it's a good 73% album for me.

Rating will change after couple more spins but I think it might be safe to say that 'Nine' is better

Dare to open a Redemption topic, buddy? I'm curious to know your thoughts on it.

Checked out Redemption once buddy, i rated it quite similar to Circus Maximus but slightly prefer CM, maybe because it's more melodic and more hard rock, but that's of course considering i'm not a number one prog/power fan so maybe your rating is far better but I do heard lots of positive comments from my friend on Redemption and I think it's better than their first album.

Buddy, actually I think Redemption found the formula of being proggy while easily accessible with emphasis on melody/vocal lines. And you know how strict and picky I am with my prog metal, I want it exactly the opposite way. But since Fates Warning's Inside Out I've learned to appreciate accessible prog metal. And the latest Redemption falls to that category.

    • No he can push all he wants, he can bitch and fight and argue, and say the most insane liberal shit he can think of, but first this morning I had to fucking hear it from Karisa, then I get on here to escape her and Glens being a disrespectful motherfucker, we can talk shit, and insult each other, and clown and make fun, and be mean as we want, but when you start talking to me like im a fucking punk then my attitude will follow suit, Ive gone above and beyond to treat HH community with respect and I am about as laid back as your going to find me on here, but if we are gonna be mean, then just get it out in the open, cause I got zero problem with mean, but dont think for a second im not gonna be mean back, theres a huge line between trolling and talking to someone like their a bitch, trust me I know, I do both daily, this is the last im going to say about this, this is my position, so laugh it up, make your jokes, talk your shit, then drop it, fuckin liberals, lol
    • What is the new Covid variant and why is it a concern? Scientists have detected a new Covid-19 variant called B.1.1.529 and are working to understand its potential implications. About 100 confirmed cases have been identified in South Africa, Hong Kong, Israel and Botswana.   B.1.1.529 has a very unusual constellation of mutations, which are worrying because they could help it evade the body’s immune response and make it more transmissible, scientists have said. Any new variant that is able to evade vaccines or spread faster than the now-dominant Delta variant may pose a significant threat as the world emerges from the pandemic. Dr Susan Hopkins, the chief medical adviser to the UK Health Security Agency, said the R value, or effective reproduction number, of the B.1.1.529 variant in the South African province of Gauteng, where it was first found, was now 2 – a level of transmission not recorded since the beginning of the pandemic, before restrictions began to be imposed. For an R of anything above 1, an epidemic will grow exponentially.
    • Now kids... fight nice. This is the Flamefest section, so there's a bit more latitude here than in other areas. I think Glen is deliberately pushing your buttons, i.e., trolling you... especially since he "couldn't care less about U.S. politics"... *ahem*. He know he can push you into a rant. Don't fall for it. Ignore him like most of the rest of the people here do.
    • While I'm in the atheist camp I do not have a problem with most of the people who have faith in God....to each their own...as for Xmas , it is a holiday and should be about family and if religion is a necessary part of it for you, then so be it.....
