So I found a cd, well an advanced cdr anyway, pro printed and I was wondering if there is/was any resources for this type of release?

Here is the "promo" "advance" in question. Obviously it is the impending Samantha 7 release, but as you all can see this just says CC Deville...

Ultimately this got me thinking about other odd one off titles later released under a different name or ??? I do have another similar cd ® that my buddy gave me of his band. He said that the producer made a half dozen discs right there in the studio for the band... So maybe this disc was/does have a similar lineage?

Any who, thoughts and comments please and thank you!

I have a copy of the BB Steal - 'Resurrectio'n album which they recorded under then band name 'Twelve At Dawn' before releasing it as BB Steal - Resurrection. Pretty sure only a handful of these would exist.

I don't know anything about the pic above but I use to like this cd. Not sure if it stood the test of time for me now though.

Does it have any artwork? As this CC Deville disc is as it is shown, just the disc. Would like to see a photo.

And Jared. I really enjoy the S7 CD and holding up, ? , who knows but I still really dig it. It gets regular spins and I would love to see him do another...

So a few discoveries: first Fay and Ray on this disc become Bonnie Bradley on the official release. Also the track order is different here, as well as many of the songs on this cd have variations to them that differ from the official release...

However, no pertinent info as to its origin or purpose...

Never gave this CD a listen. Bought a copy after reading this thread. A quick(>30 min), enjoyable listen.

Always discovering something new here at HH.

Glad to oblige Darin.

I dig it too, certainly not earth shattering, but good harmless saccharine sweet pop rock. Would love a second album.

    • Darkstone - I Only Know You're Here (2024)  Well, I've managed to sneak another one in by the end of the year, so that makes it 10. Not sure if this is the final version yet though. I wanna follow Geoff's lead and post this stuff on youtube, etc over Christmas. Just for my own satisfaction of course. I've got several versions of each song, but unlike as I mentioned above, I think I'm gonna go with a 10 track "album" featuring my favourite version of each one, then post the alt versions on a separate "album". I'm using quotation marks, because it's all so bit of fun really, but still incredibly satisfying.    https://suno.com/song/46eaf427-bc89-45d6-82d0-b71072b2b031

    • From Eonian Records: LEGACY’s Hello, New World features all brand new studio recordings with all five original members celebrating the 35th Anniversary of the band.  With an infectious, anthemic sound, Legacy has embraced the classic elements of early to mid-eighties metal with influences from Dokken, Scorpions, and Stryper. Legacy’s signature sound is built around the dynamic interplay between Matthew Rice and Fred Blanchard’s fiery, virtuosic guitar work creating a rich, harmonically layered sound and Doug Meacham’s melodic, soaring vocals with the band’s trademark harmonized vocals. The rhythm section, with its powerful bass lines of John D. Rice and drumming of John Jenkins, provides a solid foundation drawing influences from both the melodic side of hard rock and the more riff-driven approach of traditional metal. Yet, Legacy also shows they can write catchy mainstream rock songs, still with the classic Legacy edge all with an uplifting message. 1. These Five Words 2. Change of a Broken Heart 3. Sidewalk Space 4. 21 5. Take My Breath Away 6. Forever in Your Arms 7. With A Shout 8. Chains On My Heart LEGACY is: Doug Meacham on Lead Vocals John D. • From Eonian Records: “GASTEM is a band for those that don’t find ‘intelligence’ a dirty word.” That’s how journalist Douglas Gill described the Maryland-born Rock band in 1986 when he reviewed their 2nd album, Do It Like Wild for Maryland Musician Magazine.
