ha, not as hard to find as I thought. Unfortunately my Rockworld copy does not have lyrics, and what is dumb it is like a 4-5 page fold out but it is blank on one side. The other side has their thank you's or whatever. Never noticed that.

Thanks for checking. I got that track from a mix CD-R a long lost friend burned for me many years ago, so I couldn't check for myself. "Five Easy Pieces" has the lyrics in it, so I thought I'd ask.

That line right before "it's hard to break into if I'm still alive" will remain a mystery.

No lyrics listed there, just a spot for you to submit them. Dirty Looks has always been a tough band to find lyrics for. :(

They have a limited collection of lyrics on their website, but they didn't have what I was looking for.

Just click "Lyrics" on the sidebar.

My "Five Easy Pieces" CD has a 4-page booklet with lyrics for all tracks.

Supposedly Music For Nations re-issued one of the DL cd's and included lyrics. But I am not sure if My Shallow Grave is on it.

I tried listening to that section of the song last night and couldn't figure it out either.

My Five Easy Pieces doesnt have any lyrics, but if I remember right, I always thought it was odd cause there was so many songs you cant understand the lyrics to, I have all their cd's up to One Bad Leg, after that I completely lost interest, it became quantity not quality. but none of my discs have any lyrics,

BTW Chewing is my fav of all time from them!

Hmmm. I bought mine about a year after it came out. Maybe the label went cheap on future issues. I can scan the lyric pages if anyone is interested.

I was kind of surprised to see the Five Easy Pieces CD is now selling for $85 on Amazon. Even a used copy will cost you at least $25.

I just checked my copy of Five Easy Pieces...it's an original Rockworld release and does have the lyrics. My Chewing On The Bit cd is also a Rockworld release and also has the blank white first two pages in the booklet. I would guess the lyrics were supposed to go there but obviously some kind of error occurred.

Grey, is your copy a Music For Nations? They reissued a few of the DL releases and put lyrics in them....along with some extra tracks I think.

I have the original Rockworld release.

is it..."The Air's Gettin' Thin Inside,it's hard to break into if I'm still alive"?

Could be, but I'm not 100% convinced.

    • New vid for “Tell Me What You Want” dropped this morning…
    • Video is out: ACCEPT on “Humanoid”: “The song plays with the omnipresent topic of Artificial Intelligence (AI). In a strange way, we have entered exciting times now... This Digital Revolution has a huge impact, probably bigger than anything humankind has ever gone through. The Industrial Revolution was huge, but this might be even bigger, and we're just at the beginning of it. However, I'm also a little afraid that humanity gets lost and pushed aside in all this stuff. The song is pretty impactful and provoking!” ————— Song is just “ok” for me; I’m hoping there’s much better on the album, and they’ve just released this one first since it’s the title track.
    • Nice...maybe they have a compilation coming out ..a bit like Crazy Lixx and this is from that?
    • Ya, when I saw the teaser on fuckbook, I was shocked…such a great surprise.  Hope it’s a great song!
    • Not stellar, but candidly waaaay better than I was expecting.
    • Not going to disagree with this. They've really not changed their sound much across their discography. Either you like it or you don't.
    • New single 'Apocalypse Blues' out tomorrow
    • Not quite sure about this one. The new (?) songs are good and the re-works of the 'Riot Avenue' songs do sound better than the originals (there is a but coming). 'Sword And Stone' is okay but should have been left in Bonfire's very capable hands. This version pales significantly compared to that one.  Anyway, I guess the idea of the re-recordings is decent here. For the most part the production sounds better, but, there's a problem. And without being a sound guru, I'm not sure exactly what it is. There is what I believe is an issue with the treble area in the final sound, most noticeable in the first song. I don't know the exact way to explain this stuff, but the best way to describe it is that it sounds like a well produced album, at a really low bitrate. Instead of 320kbps it just sounds like it's coming through the speakers at 64kbps... even at a high bitrate. Irritating and something I can't shake, but there's good bits to it too.
    • I loved this dude's first two post-Idol albums. It's pure pop rock, but I still absolutely love songs such as this; Sadly, for me, everything since those first two albums has been some kind of variation of a train wreck. The Quiet Riot stuff was a mess and this type of metal he's churning out now - I regret to say - is just painful to my ears. Lyrically, he may as well be singing about pasta on train tracks with a side of tree branch for all I can connect with it. Musically I find it really boring, and lyrically it's even worse.  I've actually got the hard copies of first two CDs in my garage but it's too much hassle to go look for them. I can't remember if he wrote or at least co-wrote a lot of the stuff on those two albums, but either way it definitely sounded like the songs at least meant something to him. I'd like to hear that again rather than him trying this metal thing which really doesn't seem to suit him. If he's passionate about it, sure, go for it. I'd love to hear him doing something heavy (and good)... but with songs that actually sound like they mean something to him. This new album sounds like trash to me, I hate to say. He's undoubtedly had a very interesting life post-Idol. I'd much rather hear about that in songs rather than dragons eating reapers in balls of fiery metal or whatever shit is on this album.
    • Pretty true to their sound so many years into their career. Definitely sounds like HS; no doubt about that. 'Broken' is my favourite song from here... nice tune. Most of the rest is all pretty good to solid too. Admirable effort.
