The wife seem to think I should surrender my manhood for liking these guys. But in my defense, they weren't quite as "boy band" when I first heard them. I'll admit it's unusual to have them in my collection along side the hard rock and modern rock I otherwise listen to. I guess it's sort of a guilty pleasure.

What do you think?

I have their debut and an EP. Not a bad band overall. But not great. The EP release showed them to be headed in a very dancey direction, but there were a few cool songs on the 2 releases.

I was just about to start a thread for these guys, when I saw this.

So, anyway, their first album is actually quite good. The best songs being "Bushes," "Distance," "Alright," and "Last One Standing."

The second album tried way too hard to jump in on the whole Hip Hop crossover scene. You know how every Pop band was getting some rapper to spit a verse in their songs? Well these guys tried that here. Still some decent songs, though.

The Recklessly EP they released for Japan only was pretty good. The title track might be the best song they've recorded, yet. Maybe they can turn themselves around, and finally give us a great album.

Fun fact: Phil Keaggy's son, Ian, was the bassist for the first two albums. This is purely speculation, but I'm guessing he, too, didn't care for the direction the band took with Whatever.

I do like that song. I haven't heard about this EP... would be moderately interested to check it out.

You also mentioned 'The Distance' - super song;

    • New video for 'I Can't Wait' coming later this week.
    • Ah, the old record label make a quick buck off bands they dropped years ago sets where they are just bare bones albums with no bonus material. I thought maybe I missed box sets with bonus stuff. But once again, still reasonably priced.
