At only 5 years in the league.. he is by far the best young QB. Can't argue with the fact he's a winner. 5 playoffs in first 5 years in the league. Only player in NFL history to win a playoff game in his first 5 years in the league. 3 AFC Championship games. 1 and 0 in The Superbowl. Beat A. Luck, P. Manning, and T. Brady to make it to the Super Bowl. I'm glad he was paid well... he earned it. Look at Baltimore's defensive numbers this past year and you can see that it was Flacco's team.

It's all in the timing... win a superbowl right before your free agency, and you can ask (and get) the moon. Especially under the age of 30. It's not like he's winding down his career where you'd have to be concerned about longevity or deterioration of performance.
