Hi i havent heard this band since 1988.My question is do they still sound like the Final Countdown and Outta This World albums today?

Not even remotely. While I enjoyed Last Look at Eden very much, the new album, Bag of Bones, hasn't grabbed me much at all. They've really picked up a 70s style rock vibe, which worked for their previous effort, but hasn't quite sunk in for the second attempt.

No. All their new albums are utterly awful. Stick with the first five albums because you're not missing much on their new stuff.

I disagree. Start From The Dark was pretty good. It's been steady downhill since.

'Bag of bones' is the worst album I have heard this year; even worse than Van Halen's disc. To put that in context, 'Prisoners in Paradise' is one of my all-time favourite CDs. Love/d the band, but they are terrible these days. As noted above, 'Start in the dark' is the best of their new/modern stuff, but the other stuff is mostly crap.

Yeah, I also enjoy their current sound, but I prefer the previous effort. One of the best albums of... Which ever year it was. 2009?
