Listening to soundtrack stuff today. If the "At the Movies" guys decide to do an "80s vol. II" and I think they will based on how popular their first foray into the 80s was, then these two tracks are big contenders hopefully. Not Hard Rock, but certainly what I would consider as AOR.
Still in our "Wheelhouse", but soft enough to benefit from a Hard Rock revamp.
There's also a nice connection between the two.
Not their best, but not their worst. I normally don't enjoy Lionetti vocal tracks but the last one is pretty cool. I'm sure I'll enjoy this one more as it grows on me, if for no other reason than Safsund singing a mediocre song into a good one (lyrics on "If You Don't Know Me" are pretty awful).
Here's another group the Spotifies randomly threw at me. Not every song is a winner, but this one blew me away. It starts off sounding like Robbie Robertson's Somewhere Down the Crazy River, but then suddenly hits you with a wall of sound in the chorus. Check it out.
I just finished up the first season of The Umbrella Academy, and this song was playing during the end credits. This dude was the frontman for My Chemical Romance. I'll have to check the rest of his solo work, but I have a feeling it won't be as good as this.
