Earthshaker

This is another band I don't know very well. The tracks I've heard sound really good. Their CDs seem to be pretty expensive though.

 

Anyone like this band? What are their best albums/songs?

I think they do some songs in English and some in Japanese.

I used to have some of their stuff on tape,not a bad band and in the same vain of Loudness music wise.

I've ordered one of the CDs. I expected them to sound like Y&T...

I've got two of their albums - Fugitive '83 and Midnight Flight '84.

I'll have to dig them up and remind myself what they sound like.

Earthshaker were pretty good, but were sadly out of ideas pretty quickly. The biggest problem with them was the lack of production; most songs seem pretty hollow...lacking something, if that makes sense. I have most of their albums but would only recommend the first four studio albums:

 

Earthshaker (1983)

Fugitive (1984)

Midnight Flight (1984)

Passion (1985)

 

I think another thing with these guys was they sounded too much like Bow Wow, and even Bow Wow had become Vow Wow by this point and pretty much wiped the floor with Earthshaker. Seikima-II on the other hand...

I believe they just released a new compilation cd over here of their early works on the Nexus Label. It looks like some of the older releases have gotten remastered over the years too.

Yes, I have their first self-titled. All songs were sung in Japanese. They were influenced by Y&T, thus the name Earthshaker.
