I thought I already saw this full album available on a download site. Could have sworn it was the full album. Couldn't be less interested in it myself personally, but I'm curious now. Will check tonight...

I've played the whole album a couple of times and in my humble opinion it's excellent. I will have a track off it on this Saturday's Rockposer's Roulette.

Yeah, there you go. I knew I'd seen it. Is it just me, or is that the quickest recording in history?

I could be wrong but I think he had started working on this last year.

Very cool the second post Dio's passing tribute to be released (the First being Manowars Magic). anyone know if proceeds going to the Stand Up & Shout fund?

That would be the classy thing to do but there has never been a statement from Frontiers or Magic Circle Records about the proceeds. It would be nice if at least 10% or something like that would go towards the cancer fund but I doubt Joey Demaio would ever give up any $.

this album was recorded in summer/fall of 2009. JORN and Frontiers Records had this album planned since 2007, i know some people will never believe that and thats too bad. the saddest part about this album is that Ronnie never got to hear it, Jorn has said that himself, and that breaks his heart that his idol didn't get to hear how he interpreted his wonderful art.

the amount of hate for this album on the internet astonishes me, but then again most people don't know Jorn Landes history.

The only problem i have with this is that they should've put off the release date. Its WAY too soon. That said ive

heard samples and it does sound pretty d-mn good.Definitely will grab this one.Yeah like Wes said just throw something into the pot

at least. It'd be a solid gesture to the family.Wouldn't appear to be perceived as a "cash in".Its just the timing thats all.

Yes it is pretty decent album. Jorn is great. Also it was confirmed by Dio's son that Joey Demaio from Manowar was intending to be directing proceeds to charity.

    • As best I can tell, it’s Acousticyzed re-issued with new artwork, and in all the various formats mentioned. This is exactly why I didn’t worry about picking it up earlier this year, as I figured MS would whip out the holy schlong and try to get the hardcore fans to shell out for a second version.
    • Mirror to the Sky - Yes
    • Not really something that fully appeals to me, but I certainly don't see it as dogshit. If it came on the radio (not that I listen to radio) I certainly would not turn it off or skip it on a playlist.
    • Yeah, this whole thread offends me.
    • I'm liking that first track as well
    • Interesting song choice as far as covering Journey, but they likely wanted to go with a lesser known track.   I'm not a fan of the vocal effects nor the guitar tone.  It's a skip for me, but not as bad as I was expecting after reading the prior comments.
    • The nice voice will change for future records, according to Graywolf's Facebook page:

    • Ehh? Is this the same content retitled, or a completely different set of live material?... there's so much wrong with this announcement: This album was previously released as a very-limited CD/DVD.  It sold out instantly.  So we went back in and did a Dolby Atmos remaster/remix of the album, and all new artwork. But CD and DVD don't support Dolby Atmos. That's not a thing. Blu-Ray yes, but not CD or DVD. ALSO - Not only will this be available on streaming platforms but we will soon be announcing the release of Vinyl, CD/DVD, and Cassette.  Yes, you read that right.  Cassette.  Oh - let's talk about the video - the BluRay video has been upgraded to 4K for this release "Upgraded to 4k"... whut? Unless it was reshot using 4K cameras (or was originally shot in 4K but simply authored to blu-ray in SDR) and is completely reauthored to support HDR, a 4K UHD release may not actually be an improvement. Boomers saying boomer things...
    • From the Michael Sweet FB page: You asked for it!  And we listened!  To Hell with the Amps, our acoustic album, is being released worldwide on May 10 to streaming services everywhere.   This album was previously released as a very-limited CD/DVD.  It sold out instantly.  So we went back in and did a Dolby Atmos remaster/remix of the album, and all new artwork.   ALSO - Not only will this be available on streaming platforms but we will soon be announcing the release of Vinyl, CD/DVD, and Cassette.  Yes, you read that right.  Cassette.  Oh - let's talk about the video - the BluRay video has been upgraded to 4K for this release.   There are so many exciting things to come with this release.  Stay tuned here and at Stryper.com We are looking forward to taking this acoustic album on the road starting May 30.
