'Only The Weak' is actually quite a good track, although listening to the other stuff, I'm not buying the album.

Just out of curiosity, mate, who did you ask advice for on these discs:

Wall Of Silence - shock to the system

Blanc Faces - s/t

Wild Ride - tension and desire

Lovechild - soul collector

;)

Seriously, if I'd heard all Matt's albums for the first time this year they'd all be on my list too (except The Codex) - they're all essential. But I think I've finally got to the point where I have found all the MHR albums I was after for so long (even if only in MP3 format) so I don't think I've missed out on any like that.

My list was nothing but pure brilliance and contains some of the best hard rock albums that have been released in the last few years. Whinge and dwell on the modern tag all you want, but I'm just enjoying the best songs that are being recorded.

If we fast forward this concept to 2009 I have to admit that most of the better CDs I have heard this year are from previous years.

Some of my faves so far:

Silly Fools - 'The one' (still my personal favourite CD I've heard this year)

Rio - both

National Product - 'Luna'

Social Code - both

Moritz

I'll use my own thread to sew all your openings closed so you expand before eventually exploding.
