LOUDER THAN HELL for me.

Think anyone will vote for either of the last two studio albums (WARRIORS OF THE FILLER and GODS OF SNORE)... nah, me neither.

I'm with Keef on this one "Louder than Hell" is their best album by far and is Metal perfection IMO.

Other good ones are "Into Glory Ride", "Battle Hymns", "Kings of Metal", "Hail to England" and "Sign of the Hammer".

The mighty 'Battle Hymns' for me.

Please don't shoot me, but I quite like 'Warriors Of The World' (Title track especially) and some of 'The Gods Of War' :anon:

I liked most of "Warriors of the World" except for "American Trilogy"(which was sung very well but shouldn't be on a Manowar album) and there might be another tune on there that was pointless but I'm drawing a blank right now.

The "American Trilogy" was goofy. The Manowar dudes said it was their salute to Elvis (apparently Elvis used to perform that medley live), something about "The Kings of Metal showing respect to the King of Rock N Roll." I always wondered what Elvis would've thought if he heard that version.

"Hmmm, Priscilla, that was mighty nice'a them Manowar boys to cover mah song, they sure are nice young fellers, even though they really oughta cut their hair, uh-huh, uh-huh. Now fetch me a fried banana sandwich, woman!"

The other tune that seemed like a total filler on that album was "Nessum Dorma," the opera track. WTF was that?? I guess it should've been a warning of things to come.

Yeah that Opera track was a little strange and out of place, that was the song I was trying to remember.

Besides those two the cd was really good.

I only have one of theirs I think it's Triumph Of Steel, I couldn't even listen to the whole thing this band is NOT my cup of tea.

Ooh yea, that one's pretty lame. By the time you get through that 28 minute long, eight part (!!) epic about the life and death of Achilles, you feel like you've had a root canal.

LOUDER THAN HELL and KINGS OF METAL would be my personal faves, but I got on the bandwagon late in the game with these guys. I'm really not terribly familiar with their first two or three albums but those are the ones most people tend to cite as their all time best.

Those two that Keef recommended and "Sign of the Hammer", "Hail to England" with the awesome Satanic 'Bridge of Death', and ''Into Glory Ride'', the debut ''Battle Hymns'', and ''Fighting the World'' is solid too. Their live albums "Hell on Stage" and "Hell on Wheels" are both very good live albums and are a good place to start since some of the old songs sound better live then they did on some of the old albums.

That is the problem with the earlier discs, the production mainly sucks for the most part - oh to hear some of those tunes recorded in the 21st century.

Backed!!! They should re-record about 15 old classics from the first 4 albums with the newer lineup.

Hail to England.....then Battle Hymn.

Unfortunately the rallying cry (Hail to England) was shouted by some good willing U.S. chaps with sepia visions of a country that is now fucked by political correctness, liberal and socialist dogma dragging what values and pride we had through their misguided and outdated socialist ideals that the political class carry with them from their days as university students. The ideals they foister on all but themselves as they are content to live off the gravy train that is the English taxpayer (but shit they lived off the tax payer in University so why change???). Sending their children to private schools whilst pushing for comprehensive education for everyone else, telling us to tighten our belts in a time of recession whilst feathering their own nests with taxpayers money and paying for second homes with the same. Insisting crime is down when no-one...even the home secretary...feels safe on the street (unless the stupid bitch has minders looking after her). A Government insisting it needs a database that shows every phone call, eMail, text, search engine search that EVERY individual does in the UK in a bid to combat terrorism!!! Tthe best way to combat terrorism is ship the most likely suspects out (and we all know who they are!)!!!! End of the threat of terrorism on the mainland instantly...any more shit nuke their motherlands...let them drink their fuckin oil.

This country has GREAT things abound, just not the political classes!!!

Politicians are a cancer...cut them out....we need a new Oliver Cromwell!!!!!!!!

And if any government spies are monitoring this...FUCK YOU!!!!

The revolution starts next time Manowar tour

King Arthur ...if you really are asleep with your knights ready to come to aid us in Englands darkest hour....now is the time :headbanger::headbanger::headbanger:

P.S. Sorry just a bit pissed off at the moment.

    • I was a pretty big fan. Nature Of The Beast is a killer song. Saw them with Dave Gleeson from the Screaming Jets singing and he did an amazing job, but pretty sure they have a new singer now  I recently went through the two most recent albums before this one and there were a couple of ok tracks, but mostly mid. Fun fact: I saw the Angels a couple of years before Doc died at the Middle hotel in Ferntree Gully and they seemed to hate each other. Pretty sure Doc said nothing to the crowd all night. Fun fact 2: when they were building the transit bar in Melbourne, a mate and I found a service elevator that went to the roof, which was under construction. After peeing off the roof, which is always fun, we realised that we could clearly hear the music 5 or 6 floors below from a DJ I think. He was playing Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again. We started yelling down the No Way Get Fucked, Fuck Off bit thinking we were hilarious. Then soon we noticed people looking up, and for some reason they seemed to be clearly hearing us. Another mate then called us to tell us security were on the way up the stairs so we took the service elevator down and managed to laugh it off. Stoopid drunk story I guess, but fun days.
    • Cheeky, getting your artwork in there. I wonder how you did that.  I like the vocal track on #1 and that'd be my pick. I personally don't dig the female versions of songs, because I'm not a female (yet?) and as these are songs written by ourselves I personally feel the best interpretation is an AI dude voice taking the place of your dude voice.
    • Yeah, that's great but this is obviously an accomplished musician probably completely in control of this output... not done with Suno, I'd bet. There's definitely dudes out there who are perfectly capable of doing their own music, like this dude, but for whatever reason might not be able to put a project together, again, for whatever reason... but this definitely feels a lot more like AI feeling in the missing gaps for someone otherwise in complete control of what he wants.  Either way, it is very cool indeed.  As Darkstone says, I'm not sure paying is the way to get the best results. I'm also not saying it isn't, especially with other platforms that are not Suno. I think already knowing what you're doing, musically, is the best way to get best results, personally. Suno, for example, is just perfect for someone who might enjoy writing lyrics but is not in any way shape or form an accomplished (or even adequate, lol) musician.  But yeah, it's pretty cool for some fun. I'm not sure if you checked out my links above. Keeping them pretty quiet due to lyrical content, lol, but you might dig some of the stuff in my links. 'As the moment passes by' and 'I'll wait for you' are two of my personal faves. Along with 'Faith to fall.'
    • Yeah, musically it's what you want, but vocally... Maybe Alex should take some vocal lessons from Ken Tamplin. ;}
    • Your Eyes - Darkstone (2024) Two versions of my song number 6     https://suno.com/song/e8c1e85b-21ee-4d35-a64b-e786f00944d2   https://suno.com/song/9144c77a-bd7c-49c1-9508-f724d0832fdb
    • Yep, although I was never a massive fan.
    • Yes, celebrating their fifty years. There only two original members left in the band. Dusty might agree with me the Angels died when the original singer passed away.
    • It's just not the same without the Doc though...
