But we can't REALLY call that a WildSide video now, can we? It's a homemade PC vid that has been put together with a bunch of clips of you running around. Hardly a WildSide LIVE vid, right? You said this was for your personal collection. It's not WildSide live. It's Drew LIVE.

And why is the name of our band misspelled at the beginning of the vid?? Heinous. Just sayin...

Calm down...really! It's WILDSIDE LIVE AT SUMMERFEST...I think there might be a clip of you in there somewhere...! You look good!

The miss-spelled title is on purpose! I have my reasons. Maybe it is Drew Live - it's still fun to watch. I will post the original cut for you - stay tuned.

  • 3 years later...

Well there are sellers on Amazon marketplace selling it for between £34-£53, so it really seems to depend.

Makes me glad I picked it up about 10 years ago for about £5 or £6 in a record shop in Croydon. Had never even heard of them, but liked the bands look.

Also one on eBay at the moment with a buy it now for £31.

Have to say that this other guy doesnt seem to know what he has.

He doesnt seem to understand that Wasted years and Under the influence are two separate albums.

All the release details relate to UTI but the picture and track listing is WY.

If its WY that he is selling, then he has seriously overpriced it as its still available from Stevie Rachelle for $12.

I'm surprised that someone hasnt re-released it to be honest. Shame Stevie Rachelle didnt get the rights when he released the Wasted Years album, and release both of them.

Yeah, agreed. If it is that rare now, surely it's due for a re-release. Brilliant disc.

I still remember the day I bought it about ten years ago. Went into Beano's, a huge second hand record shop that used to be in Croydon. Went to my usual corner for the hair metal and glam CDs, and came away with this one and Sven Gali's debut among others.

I always found it funny that I bought those two together as the similarities are quite humourous (to me at least).

Wildside's album was called Under the influence, and Sven Gali had a song on their's with the same name, and both followed these albums up with total stinkers and then vanished.

    • I guarantee that virtually nobody here will like this, as it is death metal, but interesting and innovative choices in instrumentation and composition intrigue me. When this song hits the breakdown it takes on very interesting vibe IMO.
    • New song 'The Nero Decree' featuring Marty Friedman on lead guitar, Ralph Sheepers on vocals, Fredrik Folkare on rhythm guitars, Steve Mann on keyboards, Barend Courbois on bass, Bodo Schopf on drums.
    • Yeah, it was definitely what I never knew I needed. Crazy that something I did 20+ years ago, without anything in-between, suddenly becomes relevant again.  But make no mistake of it, after that first pass through them all it only left me with roughly 30 songs I put on Soundcloud that I was willing to share, and of them I had at least one significant issue with each song.  This process of going through them all again is definitely ironing out some of those chinks in the armour and I'm hoping to have a bit more than 30 keepers this time around, but we'll see. On that first pass, I left the lyrics as they were, warts (and significant warts too) and all. As I'm going through them again, I'm trying to iron out some of the really cringe lyrics. In some cases I'd have to scrap the whole song, though, so it's not a one-size-fixes-all type of scenario. But, for reference, 'Liar' and 'Prove Me Wrong' were definitely not anything I'd have shared first time around, but I really like the re-workings, with some slightly tweaked lyrics.  A lot of the time the damage is done, subject-wise, but if I can just refine a lyric or two it can still make a difference, I'm finding. Even if 95% of those old songs are all on the same subject, and funnily enough, the ones that aren't are generally the worse songs.  Most will stay in the bank for my private enjoyment, but hoping I can rework a few keepers to get a bunch of releases under my belt. Just need a bit more than 50 credits a night, lol.  Sorry I'm rambling again, but for the record, my current ratios with the new songs are pretty similar too. I just counted - I've written 58 new songs since I started using Suno, and I was in the process of trying to get 10 to put on an album, so yeah, it's a pretty typical ratio already, that I might get a keeper ratio of about 1/5 or even 1/6 of all the songs I write. And even that number could be heavily argued too, lol. I'm bummed I couldn't get around to releasing an album of the new tracks soon, but this going into the back catalogue to get everything - including those ones - licensable, has to take precedence. I do miss the days/nights of just penning a quick simple and stupid song and making it that night when I thought I had my back catalogue sorted. Hopefully I get there again, but for now it is what it is.
    • I can't believe you had that many songs already up your sleeve.  This site must've been a Godsend for you.
    • Another new track from the H.AI.R METAL dude. Damn he has this down to a fine art, love it.
