I love this album. Gets better with each spin!! It's not as polished as New Religion, but the songwriting is there. Very good songs and the band shines as they did on the first two releases!

Bought that on cassette many years ago when it first came out through the magazine and loved it so much. Finally upgraded to cd several years back and it's still a good album. I love that album--I just love it. Despite the sound quality. How is it that one of my all-time favourite bands never made it? I wish they would reform, even just to do a few shows. It is a great album and the follow up was really good to and even III has it's moments. I really like all three discs (and the Pretty Boy). Sping( ) them all the time. Spinging Manic Eden. Pretty good bluesy rock from some of the Whitesnake and Little Caesar members.

I agree. The Illusion albums were awesome and I still play them several times a year. Sure they were diff than Appetite but there was a huge amount of growth. The only tune I hate is My World. Absolutely love the Illusion albums. Definately a progression and I liked it alot. Illusion albums=Mafia Approved Excellent

I agree. I don't hate it. But it lacks punch. It just sorta "plods along."
