What type of CD collector are you?
auslander replied to Jimbo's topic in Music Polls and "Best of" Lists
That takes me back. I miss that so much. Those days are dead for me too. It's all online for me now, but I so miss the days of digging through racks of cds for hours and finding that rarity for next to nothing. There was something about that that can never be replaced. -

Ha! I have done that before, bought a cd and then realise I already had it... I still am discovering "new" music. Well, it is new to me even if it first came out 50 years ago. Like I am listening to Darwin by Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso at the moment. It's blowing my mind. Like rock music influenced by Italian opera... -

I buy on cd all the time. Why would I buy digital when cd is a hard copy of digital anyway? And vinyl is pitched at hipsters who want the cool factor, but the sound is inferior, the medium is fragile and fiddly. Nope, I'm happy to remain a cd collector. There is no current medium that has surpassed it. -
Alice Cooper - Trash Vs. Hey Stoopid

Awesome track! -
When I was growing up everyone was suspicious about people who were too into politics or were too far Left or Right. I miss those days when politics weren't the be all and end all and Centrism ruled the roost.

Some people also like Ed Shearen more than the Beatles. Doesn't mean I have to consider their "opinion" to be valid.

Every cd I get I listen to a minimum twice before putting it on my selves (alphabetical). I have thousands so yes, some go years without a play. But I go through stages. Right now I am listening to a lot of prog again. I'm enjoying the German band Eloy and their Pink Floydish sound especially. Actually, Pink Floyd would be my most played cds overall. I never tire of some of them (WYWH and Animals are my favourites). So, even though I have thousands of cds, there isn't a single one I have not played. -
Dokken better than Led Zeppelin... seriously! Some people have no sense of history.

Ha! Funniest poll ever! Brett Michael's asked the same question, but in a country song -
Alice Cooper - Trash Vs. Hey Stoopid
auslander replied to heaven&hell's topic in Music Polls and "Best of" Lists
9 people voted for Hey Stoopid over Trash. Now that is STOOPID! -
This seemed really obvious to me, even though I like all their releases, New Religion is just a cut above.

Next up in this fun thread: euthanasia yay or euthanasia nay?

Even though she is smart and eloquent she'd have no chance. The media is 95% far Left activist-journalist and they would edit, shame, rumour-monger, misrepresent her until every useful idiot would believe she is a Nazi and her reputation is destroyed. When the means of distribution of information is a monopoly the truth does not matter because whatever the Left media say is fact is what is fed to the masses.

Just read a story about the Lepps backing Vincent Neil and the Crue to make a comeback after Vince's recent fail. Phil's looking like Grandpa Thor... been seriously hitting the gym it looks like, geez!

Did anyone see the Eurovision 2021 winning sleaze rock band from Italy? The bassist was worth a look: Victoria De Angelis.

Harder Sleaze Bands (Erotic Suicide, Crashdiet, etc)

Candy Harlots are awesome. I even have their Fourplay EP that I think came free with that magazine Hot Metal that I used to read religiously in the early 90s. -
Albums in desperate need of a reissue by Ranyone!

I admit I'm a bit of a fanboy of the RC productions. I love the look of the discs the sound is always top notch, often have bonus tracks but only if they are decent sounding, the booklet notes are fantastic and even the hype sticker. Holding a new one in my hands is like those times as a kid when you get a brand new cd with your pocket money haha. I only usually get the later 80s stuff they do as I'm more Pop Metal than AOR, but I've never felt let down by Rock Candy. -

Maybe they should only be allowed to comment in Spanish on all the awesome Spanish language hard rocks bands. I have literally... zero... in my collection.

Should the political/COVID discussions be allowed to continue?
auslander replied to heavyharmonies's topic in Site Feedback
I don't think we should curtail topics speaking as a newbie. But, I might avoid certain topics anyway. When it comes down to it, everyone here has more in common, like hating the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame and thinking hip-hop is a waste of space. -

I have the two Sleez Beez albums and love them. You can still find the Mr Big albums regularly cause they sold so many of those first two. It took me a while to get the first two Sweet FA albums but I did eventually. I think Rock Candy remastered the first Giant album recently so maybe they will do Tine to Burn as well soon? I was stoked they remastered the Silent Rage second disc last month. That was missing from my collection until then! -

Thanks mate -
Paying $$$ for beat up second hand copies of albums on eBay bugs me sometimes. I hate paying more than what a new cd would cost. That's why I really want some albums reissued/remastered etc. as I ain't gonna fork out stupid money for them. My top 5 wanting reissue are: Princess Pang 1989 Marcello - Destiny 1989 Paul Laine - Stick it in Your Ear 1990 Glory - Danger in this Game 1989 Red Dawn - Never Say Surrender 1993
