  1. His first solo album was fantastic. The cover of Blowing Up Detroit is marvellous.
  2. First two songs are absolutely amazing. Hoping for an album of the year contender.
  3. Can you elaborate on that please? I've never listened to Skintrade much, mostly Refueled and I like that a lot.
  4. Sounds excellent. Always been a fan of Alfonzetti. One of the best singers out there.
  5. There are so many so I'll probably forget a lot of them, but the ones that spring to mind right away are: Bobby Barth STEVE STEVENS Karl Groom Luke Morley Slash Joel Hoekstra Reb Beach Doug Aldrich Dave Meniketti I'll fill in more when they come to mind.
  6. It's been a pretty disappointing year imo, so I'll stick to a top 3: 1. Gathering of Kings - First Mission 2. Art Nation - Transition 3. Pretty Maids - Undress Your Madness Maybe your lists will open my eyes to some gems.
  7. Decent song. Hoping for much better ones on the album. Their last effort Snakes and Ladders was very good.
  8. Normally not huge on ballads but that was a good one.
  9. Love this album. But I have lost it and have no idea how to get anew copy. Can't find it digital either.
  10. Love the Needles and Pins cover. One of the great hard rock/metal voices of all time. Wish I could find the Millennium album somewhere. Was great on stage with Avantasia too.
  11. Incredible band back in the day. I'll Be Waiting is a C-L-A-S-S-I-C! Remember seeing them at Sweden Rock Festival, the gig where Soto called his son on stage and we all congratulated him on his birthday. RIP Marcel.
  12. Their new album is due to be released Jan 31 2020 and they have a new single out, When the Stars Are Right. Me likey. When the Stars Are Right Sorry I don't know how to embed. Can someone help out perhaps?
  13. Scratch n Sniff is a fantastic album.
  14. Goddamit. Sounds like an 80s porn star. 😂
  15. Nothing wrong with the vocals to me. Always liked Carl Dixon and Cindy Hatch, including his voice. They played at Sweden Rock Festival once and I loved the set. Dixon also played with April Wine that same festival.
  16. Vere classy, but it's too soft for me. Songs are so melodic though, so I'll give this a few spins. I used to love this stuff back in the day, so I hope I can get back in to it.
  17. I've started to like these guys and them going more melodic over time. Songs like Rats, Square Hammer, He Is, Dance Macabre, Missionary Man etc etc. Imo the satanic overtones are purely a gimmick. Tobias Forge seems a very intelligent and likeable guy.
  18. Aerosmith and Y&T are great shouts. Y&T is in my top 5 favourite bands of all time. I didn't include them in my list as I went for the behemoths of the golden era. Whitesnake is also of the greats, but I omitted them because I saw them live this past summer. If I go to "smaller" bands who made the scene what it was and that I'd give an arm to see, I would love to get to an Axe concert.
  19. Def Leppard AC/DC Kiss Guns n Roses Only seen Def Leppard live and the rest are bands I'd like to get the chance to see before it's too late. They played a big part in making hard rock so great.
  20. Several playthroughs later and my amended rating is 5 out of 6. Simply a excellent album in its own right. I understand many are disappointed with the direction they've taken, but I can enjoy this on its own merits. If it was a debut album from a new group, I suspect folks would be over the moon. Grrrrrrreat.

I've only listened to a few songs yet, but it sounds really good. More thoughts to come.
  22. Met Toby Jepson in the festival area of Swedish festival Skogsröjet this summer. He stopped and chatted for a bit, really nice fella. Their gig was very good too. I'm getting in to this one.
  23. Maybe I worded that poorly. Anywho, it's good that we all have different tastes and opinions. Sorry of I can across derogatory, wasn't my intention.
