  1. There have already been local rock bands doing that tune in my area. At least 6 that I can count. It does lend itself to rock very easily. Honkytonk Badonkadonk is on the list Another that came/comes to mind in the "country" arena is the Hank Jr. song "My Name Is Bosephus". If memory serves Van Halen played a bit on that tune even and I am sure-ish I saw a video with them in it as well...
  2. This one's a classic! Not a movie, but the Misses and I have been watching the series Weeds over the past week or so, we've made it through season 3 and awaiting 4, 5 and 6 to become available. Pretty entertaining stuff!
  3. Those 3 tracks are fucking killer!!!!!!
  4. Glad to hear thye will be recording as well. I have always loved this band!
  5. I believe Iordan is on holiday and he mentioned that due to a personal injury early in the summer many scheduled releases were postponed. But never fear he will release them and when he does they will be AMAZING!
  6. No kidding, who in the world or any galaxy far, far away can be such a bad shot. Greedo's an idiot!!! Shooting first made Han a bad ass, just like when he shot that sword weilding freak in Raiders Of The Lost Ark. George Lucas has made enough money off of me....I'm out! Agreed! I must be the whiny fanboy, because I HATE THE "TWEAKS", Lucas has added to the films over the years. I'm still watching the original trilogy on THX letterbox VHS just to avoid these (wish I still had the Laserdiscs). I saw it somewhere online and can't find it now, but there is the scene in EP 4 were Obi Wan saves Luke from the Tuscan Raiders and that really cool monsterous roaring sound you hear has been replaced by a sound akin to a dude getting finger shoved up his ass... Very bad indeed. C'mon George leave well enough alone would ya'! Instead of bastardizing the franchise how about filming episodes 7, 8, & 9! Here it is, prepare to be embarassed: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yxuDU8gims&feature=player_embedded
  7. Can I get one of those Seperable Soul cd's too??? Seems about time for another round of "dig through that box and take what you need" my friend... you know where to find me.
  8. Was listening to a bit of "country" today and I think if you rocked it up properly Big & Rich' Save A Horse Ride A Cowboy could work well.
  9. Stryper-Shining Star is epic! Faith No More-Easy is also quite tasty. As CH said the Stayin' Alive cover by DZ is great, but I enjoyed Donny Osmonds vocals on it just fine. Dweezil and Ahmet covered a Britney Spears tune on that wrestling movie soundtrack... I also enjoyed that Vains Of Jenna remake of that C-Lo tune F@&k You. The best rocked up country tune you could do is called Tons Of Beer from the movie classic Beer. I will have to dig a bit to recall the band that did the tune, but it is great and even if you didn't know it you'd flip when you heard it. Billy Joel-You May Be Right would make good cover tunes if done right. More to come...
  10. I can appreciate collaborations of a single or two with a revered artist of yours but a whole album? And we all know that Metallica has mostly sucked since Justice (notice, I said mostly). Did that not do a horrible song with some old scholl punk rock broad "singing" a bit on it?
  11. Then you need to track down the Fan Club 4 CD box mate, all unreleased demos, live stuff, b-sides and hard to find stuff. No actual tracks that finished up on the albums only the demos of them (apart from the live tracks on the expanded version of Bellybutton). Him and me both...

    Mrs. Flecher

PRobably way off base, but my first thought while reading your post was Queensryche. Something off of Operation Mindcrime perhaps...
  13. I like this band! The song is rockin' and hot chix always win big points from me.
  14. Cool like Zombie / end of the world type of books, just pulled World War Z off the shelf to read again (due in part to it being in the news for the forthcoming film) which is reallly cool. Have you ever read Blood Crazy by Simon Clark? Another end of world scenario book (not zombies per se but they may as well be) which is brilliant in IMHO. Going to have to look into both of those, they sound real good. With Feed and Deadline, the titles of the books have double meanings dealing with 1. zombies and 2. the media. Get it Feed Deadline... Not only are the main characters trying to cope in a world that has been for some time plagued by the undead (most of the main chareacters no no other existence), interesting spin on how the people become the walking dead, not to spoil but take the cure for cancer and the cure for the common cold and apparently those to things don't get along and viola zombie strain!, but they are also "journalists" (albeit computer aged live camera upfeed, blog styled) reporting on the goings on of the zombie world and the evil government that "might" be not so squeeky clean... Certainly well written and if they aren't being developed as I type should/would translate well to the cinema. Nice one...will check those out. World War Z is written from accounts of people caught up in the zombie war and how various factions dealt with it (I wasn't interviewed - the week the war was on I think I was on holiday and missed it all). I like it a lot but some folks find it a bit boring as there's no central charecter as such. Whereas Blood Crazy is just mayhem, blood n stuff, everyone over 18 pretty much becomes zombified and starts killing anyone younger. World War Z will be my next read as my local library ad it. They did not however have Blood Crazy, they had/have a number of other books written by Mr. Clark, have you read any others by him?
  15. Any way you look at it the buyer is a douche and with the Facebook link being no good after noticing the call out here, it is all too obvious JD is getting exactly what he wanted a FREE CD! This guy is bad for the community and again being is in order.
  16. The Little Angels vocalist is a good singer, could make some good music. Here is hoping they can recreate the Dave King era Fastway though especially that Trick Or Treat soundtrack!
  17. Yea I bet they could do a 90 minute medley and still leave some hits out...
  18. Nice. I have not seen them, but they are still sounding amazing. In August saw Lizzy Borden and Y&T. NOt on the same bill though.
  19. Glad your back Keith, you were definately on my radar...
  20. You should be fuming! What absolute rubbish on Amazons account and on the uber douche JD's. Still stand by my dirst statement about being banned and if I were you, I would not/could not wait for the "wrath of God" I'd start fileting across the world wide web. Hell doesn't everyone have a Facebook, etc... Word spreads fast, especially "bad" words and this guy should be on everyones "most wanted" "watch out for" lists... My 2 cents anyway.

  22. Agreed. One of a kind movie. Agreed X 2 with a twist of Madagascar cinnamon. On topic: Frozen. 3 people trapped on a chairlift. To high to jump, no one around for 5 days... oh and watch out for the wolves. 2 words bo-ring!
  23. I don't have them, but I want them! They were released back in '98 by one of the guitarists in the band, then he pulled a Lonnie and took a bunch of peoples $$$$ and did not ship out any cd's. I heard after the "silver" cd's ran out he did do some cdr's and then the bait and switch happened. These are currently for sale on the Junkyard site, but I believe they are cdr's again. Hope this helps. Thanks a bunch for the info... I guess I was lucky enough to get the "silver" CDs instead of the CDR version. Pretty good stuff on both of these CDs. Yea if your a fan of the 'yard this "unreleased" and "alternate" versioned stuff is right on par with what they did on the S/T and 6, 7 and 9's.
