  2. Focus-this was better than I anticipated. The lead gal is a doppelganger for Jaime Preistley.
  3. Some super nice sounding and pleasantly polished Turkish hard rock. This should appeal to a vast audience on HH. "Broken" https://youtu.be/Rk4zRFEQdJo https://tr-tr.facebook.com/heavyskymusic "Unbreakable" from 2014 https://youtu.be/bBZQxuHDqW0 And a Bad Company cover for live studio/radio: https://youtu.be/j_weakkldmk
  4. ...is farkin' right. Some super Slayer-ish sounding metal right down to the new album title Written In Blood out 8-21-201. https://youtu.be/vZQcCCFyIPE https://www.facebook.com/raisehell666
  5. Shame I missed this in February. "Found" the vid on the YouTube tonight and I must say they are a very nice sounding band! https://www.facebook.com/thestorytellersweden
  6. Franklin Zoo-for the love of Pete, an homage to Soundgarden is an understatement as these kids are an exact knockoff. https://youtu.be/l_tJjim8pH4 These earlier vidoes have them melding a bit more STP and Pearl Jam/Temple of the Dog with their SG... https://youtu.be/i7r4_JhxYPE https://youtu.be/POMHOt10x3I https://da-dk.facebook.com/franklinzoofb
  7. When I first stumbled on this band and pressed play I was like whoa and then I started to dread what I assumed to be the inevitable screamo bs that would unfold. But color me pleasantly surprised as the vocals are clean and the music is heavy. https://youtu.be/8RePoMHZENA https://www.facebook.com/Annominus
  8. DLC is high and not in a good way, that LA Party is a tasty little M3 sounding little ditty. Nice job.
  9. New album Fear from this VERY impressive young Lithuanian thrash metal band. https://youtu.be/6GFh8qfzhNY https://lt-lt.facebook.com/Phrenetix
  10. Can't pull the name from the depths of memory but wasn't there a female fronted christian rock band called Warrior or Guardian or some such thing, oh maybe it was Fighter that is right in line with that hard rock style...
  11. Got this and the previous LP (on cdr from the band) and they are really good. As usually the case there are some superior songs so you should not judge on one track alone... even though I rather enjoy the Sunshine track. Here is a snippet with there new vocalist, certainly a little more melodic and a little less Manitoba's Wildkingdom. https://youtu.be/_7BHS_ej6jQ
  12. That Afterlife song is Skid Row's Monkey Business almost note for note if done by Mr Brownstone/Paradise City era GnR...
  13. That song, no matter what Geoff says is killer. I know I am old but to what is the 13 or nothing reference? I won't ever spend $87 on anything however and I see the cd alone is $21, yikes!
  14. There are a ton of acceptable female fronted bands from back in the day and Dan's reference to the modern day and amazing Halestorm should be followed to the letter as they are truly phenom... From days gone by: Lee Aaron, Warlock, Doro (after Warlock), Betsy and/or Bitch, plenty more I am blanking on I am certain. Modern day bands that I have started threads on here: Kill For Eden is excellent and so are Ivory, there are some more odd ball ones I can not pull from the murcky depths of my wasted mind.
  15. Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 Seventh Son Get Hard
  16. Can't speak for the solo's, even though I recon Izzy can shred if he needed too, but I would wager that he wrote many the lick/riff/chorus/bridge that became those songs. And I recall seeing this album pushed on the air waves, but this sentiment could ring true for a vast majority of 80's hair bands, without the video and the MTV not many of them would have been as big as they are/were.
  17. Head West to Portland, Oregon. The hipsters out here are glomming onto vinyl like it is going out of style and there are many vinyl stores.
  18. That Jim Gillette from Nitro comes immediately to mind for a voice that only dogs can hear at times...
  19. My first thought is/was Izzy. As I seem to recall he was the man behind writing the songs.
  20. Mr. Postman was ever so kind today. Steel Rangers-Sex Magic Thunder & Miron-Lacrimosa (2 copies, signed!!)
  21. "Singer" is a very strong word when describing Selena.
  22. The songs OK. I like how different the band looks from the video to the photo and what in tarnation is the dude hard left doing...
  23. Kill For Eden-S/T The singer is so damn hawt!
  24. http://heavyharmonies.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=32364&hl=lipz http://heavyharmonies.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=33066&hl=lipz I love them! And I dig the bat cavin' emo goth thing they are doing with the sleazy hard rock sound.
