  1. This video explains it all and shows the initial clip. I guess the reporter was in a bad position considering it was live. She needs to speak to her lawyers about merchandising rights. She could make a fortune out of this just with coffee mugs and t-shirts alone. I didn't know, I do now. Very funny. Nice one Dan.
  2. I know the original Tozzi version was huge. I don't know where "here" is, but in Australia Laura Branigan's version was massive. "Self Control" was also popular and a far superior track, but I reckon most Aussies of my vintage would recognize her more from "Gloria". Talking about "Self Control", I'll take any opportunity to post this Killer cover.
  3. Johnny Hates Jazz - Shattered Dreams. Not quite AOR, but close. Fuck I love this song. A true time machine track for me.
  4. Okay, so I'll address the "elephant" in the room. I don't know how many profile pictures Dan has had over the years, but for as long as I've been a member, it's always been "Stewie". I always felt respect and fear whenever I saw that image in the forum. i guess the question is, who is Brandon? and why so passionate mate?
  5. Divinyls - Back to the Wall. A legendary Aussie band with many hits. This track would come close to my favourite. Maybe tied with "All the Boys in Town". I heard this cover by Paul Dempsey from another solid Aussie Pop/Rock band called "Something For Kate" on the radio last week. I've mentioned it before, but imagine being able to stand up with an acoustic guitar and pull this out.
  6. I meant to post this in the "Corona" thread, but this one works too.
  7. Hmmm. One of my earlier posts and a recent Joe Rogan clip. And yes, I know China has had many lives lost as a result of this virus, but maybe the CCP took that into account and decided that they have the numbers population wise, to still come out on top. An acceptable loss considering the hugely successful softening up of the West. Do not underestimate the ruthlessness of the CCP and they're quite happy to play the long game. The recruitment clips shown in the PJW video are insane and frightening.
  8. I loved the original. It was on TV down here. Winnie Cooper has matured quite nicely over the years.

    Corona

    Darkstone, of course.
  10. Great question. It's something unimaginable, but I can picture people in the 1920's pondering if there would be a WWII and who would be involved. There's a quote that's attributed to Albert Einstein, "I do not know with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones." That sums it up. As for who vs who, I'd like to think it would be, a coalition of the rest of the World vs the evil Axis of Canada and New Zealand. Fuck 'em.

    Corona

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's been recognized as fact. The only question up for debate is whether it was accidentally leaked from the lab or intentionally unleashed. But hey, we're talking about China here, so I don't think anything dodgy is going on.
  12. I'll be very interested to see who's on vocal duties. DGE? He may recruit James Christian and make it a "House of Lords" pseudo reunion album.

    Corona

I don't think it was disrespectful at all. You asked the question. Perhaps that question itself was disrespectful to the ones who have succumbed to covid? I will however, gladly agree to disagree with you.

    Corona

Simply, for me, the issue is that I was TOLD to do it.

    Corona

Surely, that question alone says it all. If this virus was such a plague on humanity that it's been touted to be, causing major World wide social, financial and mental turmoil, then nobody would have to prove they've had it because they would be dead. People throughout history haven't had to prove that they've had Bubonic Plague, Ebola, Malaria, Polio, Gonnorhea, Syphilis, etc.
  16. That's some profound, philosophical shit right there.
  17. We get it here, but I mainly watch the compilations on youtube. I've never been to Canada, but I think our cultures would be quite similar, with regards to the UK/US influence. Also, we seem to have same shit stirring sense of humor.* *We don't however, say "aboot" when we mean "about" and we don't end every statement with "eh".
  18. You just reminded me of Vanna White. Rachel Rileys' predecessor on "Countdown", Carol Vorderman wasn't too shabby either.
  19. I probably also should have added "Mad World" to my post.
  20. Yeah, it was quite a shock to lose him and Norm Macdonald recently.

    Corona

As someone who was forced into this cunt of a vaccine as a job requirement, I'm not laughing out loud at all mate.
  22. Absolutely spot on mate. That was one of the best episodes. "Anthrax" also appeared in an episode.
  23. Rachel Riley is one of the hottest chicks ever in the history of the world!
