A new guitarist was announced via Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/santacruzbandofficial/ Tried to make sense of the comments and I think as of now only the singer is left in the band and hiring new members, starting with this new guitarist.

This band used to be called Four Wheel Drive and played decent pub rock, me and my friends dig their EP quite a lot. Didn't like the first tracks they put out after the name change but will give the new song a chance

An album I can listen to over and over and have been for the past six weeks

JK Northrup & David Cagle - That's Gonna Leave A Mark

I know it's 2018 and these are different times but let me just post one of my favorites here Love the dynamics in this song, how the guitar goes from the freight train like opening riff, to creating all this space and atmosphere during the verses and then takes a back seat when it cleans up during the calm part after the solo Spread the word around! -
Been listening to the Defiants album lately, good to hear there'll be a second one. But ''currently working on'' means it'll be a while before it's out..... I'm guessing another year so April 2019 maybe
-
Looks like they're working things out, they're posting pictures with one another on instagram and captions like "The good times will never die"

Game Over, Man - Netflix movie with the 3 guys from Workaholics, some original ideas and jokes that made it stand out from other ''bro'' movies, I liked it Inglorious Basterds - first time

''No more tears....... anymore''

This would've mattered in 1988, but in 2018....... not newsworthy at all and this is coming from a huge Ratt fan (first 5 albums only) but this band doesn't even exist for me at all LOL
-
All right time for some guesses - what do you think is gonna happen? The three members minus the singer continue with a new name / same name The singer finds new members and continues as Santa Cruz / new band Solo projects? Looks like the singer is the ''black sheep'' judging from the comments so I don't see why the other 3 wouldn't continue making music together. But maybe after 10 years in the same band they thought it was time for a change

What the hell.... Just saw they canceled the remainder of their US tour but this is.... Wow Glad I saw them in December will forever remember that show
-
Good one, any other movies in that vein you could recommend? Early / mid 90s drama

Fargo (1996)

Late reply but a former work colleague was a big fan and gave me Waiting In the Wings (must have been 2012 or 13). I liked it a little, especially remember the powerful chorus in Taint The Sky. Back then I read about the band and their other albums on Wikipedia but never got around to listening to those. Not a big prog fan myself but 2 years ago I listened to DGM's "The Passage" a lot which I think is great. But I mainly liked it cause it was less proggy than the band's previous work. If you haven't you should definitely check it out

Similar to Tommy Funderburk (King of Hearts) vocally

Catalano will be opening for Cruel Intentions in Stockholm on July 13, can't miss this opportunity. Never had a chance to see De La Cruz cause they only played in Australia and this will be the first Catalano show in Europe (maybe ever, don't recall them playing shows in Australia or New Zealand as it was more of a ''solo project'' until not so long ago)

The Defiants (Paul Laine/Bruno Ravel/Rob Marcello) - s/t

It's been almost two years since the album came out...... does anyone know if any of the band members ever mentioned a possible follow up? I can't imagine them leaving it at only one album after the great response they got for the debut I could sure use a new instant hit like ''Love And Bullets'' -
Donnie Brasco, meh.........

Sorry audio really sucks on the video I posted above. This one's better
-
While not a bad song, I think there are tracks more deserving of a lyric or music video and the extra exposure on the album: Back from the dead / Voice of the new generation / Get me out of California At least they didn't choose Breathe (yet)
-
I'll admit the chorus in ''Under My Skin'' ain't so bad, but the verses really pull it down don't know why but for some reason I just cringe Looking forward to their next album, they've actually been working on new song since right after the release of the debut. Out of the new songs I heard (not many) I'm looking forward to hearing a recorded version of this one the most:

Too bad the band likes ''Under My Skin'' so much, I feel the album opener ''Comin' On To You'' would've been a much better choice to present to the world, great guitar work throughout. Also the video of them driving around in the car would've been much better with ''Comin' On To You'', would've made a very good video concept for the song. My 2 cents...
