  1. Pretty sure this'll be the last stuff I get before 2010, but never say never! Via trade... BIGSTORM Living In Exile DIXIE DREGS What If... GHOST POETS same MOUNTAIN HIGH same many thanks Mark From the chazza... ANNE McCUE Live: Ballad Of An Outlaw Woman - only got it for the Hendrix cover. I'm a sucker for anything Jimi related! ALAN PARSONS The Time Machine SCREAMING TREES Sweet Oblivion STEELY DAN Gaucho STEELY DAN Two Against Nature - I'm just not a Steely Dan fan, but as these were cheap I thought I'd give them a listen WISHBONE ASH Trance Visionary - Dble disc version. I have always avoided the Ash's "dance" album but for £1... And real shopping... THE ROCKETS Re Entry - cool issue of Eddie Money stuff from 1973 and two superlatrive tracks from 1978
  2. A Partially Burned CD-R Recording starts at the CD's center and spirals outward. You can tell if a CD-R was burned by looking for the slight change in reflectivity on the recording side. In this example, the arrow points to the end of the small recorded area; less than 6% of the total 700MB. None of that either.
  3. Yes, there's a barcode and on the opposite side CD1006
  4. No one seems to know yet. I did email Mike and NEH Records and he said it he didn't know anything about it but he was going to look into it. I fear that this is just another cdr but this time it's the band selling them. I want a proper release of this disc so bad from Rock Candy, Sun City or Eonian with great packaging. It is definitely a silver pressed CD. I bought a copy at the gig in Nottingham a couple of weeks ago.
  5. I find that Queen are the least liked or respected band amongst all my "rock" mates. Nobody seems to like them, not the 70's rock fans nor the melodic fans. Never understod it meself. Defin one of the greatest bands ever. Best song is a difficult one, anything from the first two albums is as good as anything from their peers of the same era - better than most.
  6. BOTTOM Feels So Good When You're Gone - Rise Above issue (replaces my Mans Ruin issue to which I had lost the booklet!) SERJ TANKIAN Elect The Dead GRAVITY KILLS Superstarved BLOOD DIVINE Mystica FIST Storm (they reformed? nobody told me!) WITCHERY Don't Fear The Reaper
  7. It's very much a silver press. Not a CDR at all. I wasn't sure myself until I actually got it. I really went to see the Answer but as Vain were in the same venue... All I know is that there are apparently 500 only, there were plenty left at Nottingham. I'd tried to ask my mate who went to the Grimsby show a few days before to get me one, but couldn't get hold off him. He said they only sold about 5 at that gig. No sign of it on davyvain.com sadly, maybe it's a "copywright" thing? Who put that out JEZSTER??
  8. Tommy only played 3 tracks by one band on his show if it was a session, so there should be 4 tracks, and they'd prolly be British... Someone get Dave (manicego) and point him this-away then... he worked for Enigma back in the day...
  9. It seems ages since I've found anything But that drought seems to have passed today. BTP Dreams - Bulgarian stuff from 1999 Great White Live At The Ritz - 99p in a chazza! Blimey! Inner City Unit Now You Know The Score Fish Sunsets on Empire - "deluxe" version Rolling Stones Live Licks Fallout Boy Folie a Deux Kingbaby Whole Lotta Easy Gary Moore Looking At You Jimmy Barnes Freight Train Heart - spare copy Stratovarius Elements Pt 2 and almost forgot Vain All Those Strangers - Ltd to 500 copies apparently, at the gig in Notts last week! Also nearly forgot, my mate sent me a promo of the Reo Speedwagon xmas CD he picked up in London. Wish he hadn't!
  10. That Black Cat Bone is a stormin' CD. I always pick up any extra copies I find and give them away to spread it's greatness. If only I could find their "Epic" CD, that one has eluded me for years! Had a couple of days in Manchester this week, not bought a lot lately but did OK for a change... Tragedy We Rock Sweet Balls And Can Do No Wrong (A Metal tribute to the Bee Gees)! Skin Fake Chemical State - Double CD, seems to be Chinese! 38 tracks! and none from her first solo either! 11. What a great album. After waiting 18 months to geta release, it bombed anyway. Real shame.
  12. This has had a good amount of play around here, even my Mrs likes it, so it must be good!
  13. Same management as H.E.A.T. who seem to be trying to push them towards the UK very strongly!
  14. The only one you'll get will be 'Round One'. I have looked everywhere for the other 3. Like I said, I don't even know if they were all released on CD. as I have never seen them. I have Round One on Magda which certainly looks official - if a little cheaply produced! I'm not aware of anything up to Danger Zone being on CD, but I do have Fleet Street on CD on Reborn Classics. pirate CD from 1993, it has Kooga Across The Water and Fleet Street on the same disc! I think I've got a couple of these on Revorn Classics, but I'd love to see a full list of releases.
  15. When Vain toured the UK a few years ago, my mate promoted a couple of the gigs. Davy Vain at that time didn't have a copy of All Those Strangers on any format. He didn't even own the rights to NR!!!
  16. Around 1981, Mabel used the name STUDS and recorded and released an LP in Spain only (Hispavox Records). It was an attempt to escape the teeny bop crowd that followed Mabel. I was always under the impression that DANISH LIONS was just the STUDS stuff reissued? Is this not the case?
  17. Diamond Head - MCA Years - Lovely box set thingy, great sleeve notes too. Swallow The Sun - Ghosts Of Loss Swallow The Sun - The Morning Never Came - don't know this band, my mate gave me these after I dropped his ex's clothes of at her fathers house! Jimmy Packes - Axxe To Grind Vicious Circle - Fine Line Mikey Jones - The Light Of Day - free CD! nice!
  18. I grew up with Zeppelin. For twenty years I would have said Physical Graffitti. No competition. But now... when I feel in the mood for some, it's always "In Through The Outdoor". So for about ten years, the only Zep I've played is "In Through.." Not quite sure where that leaves me!
  19. I'm a massive Robert Hart fan. When the Jones Gang CD was only released in the USA, I tracked down a kindly American to buy me a copy and post it across, he was into Eyehategod etc, never lived it down with his mates! IMO, the self titled solo disc is much better than Cries & Whispers. Included on that is some of the most sublime AOR of all time IMO. I traded the Distance album away years ago because I just couldn't get on with it. May try to track it down again! His work with Bad Company showed Rogers up for the wasted talent he has become IMO. Company Of Strangers is a marvellous album.
  20. Very good! Not what I expected at all! Shame she wants the equivalent of the GDP of a small country to play over here.
  21. I don't know about Cavo, been on rotation for a couple of weeks now, but there's something missing. A couple or three great tracks but too many mid tempo for me. Getting more play is Black Water Rising, heavy but with a Kings X/Galactic Cowboys touch that I'm really enjoying.
  22. I think it's "Hearts Of The Innocent" for me, that guitar riff opening the CD is pure class. The CD didn't leave my player for two months on release. I've not found any of trhe others as immediate, hopefully the new one will be back to form!
