The OP specified 80's bands, so I refrained from posting my actual favourite ballad.

Wild Target (2010) It's not too well received, but I really like this one. I think I enjoyed it more now then my first viewing.

Anybody in the Vancouver area, or even northern Washington should check this out. http://amblesidelive.com/ There's a little festival happening in Van this coming August. This is who's playing: April Wine, Randy Bachman, Glass Tiger, Harlequin, Headpins, Helix, Honeymoon Suite, Platinum Blonde, Prism, Streetheart, and Sweeney Todd. Only eleven bands, but that lineup is kinda unreal. Great Canadian acts.

Well, then this is confusing. Why confusion? Because he's a confused young boy.... And not just sexually. But I am confused why he's confused. I saw the thread, I liked what I heard, I downloaded it, I existed and as part of my existence I forgot everything I had done or thought in the last 5mins and beyond. And then I continued to forget what this was when I kept seeing the zip file on my laptop. And I was too lazy to find out because I hated the name of the file. Nah, just confused you actually like it, 'cause it's really Funky. Ha, don't get too excited. As I said, I hadn't heard it and just to make sure everything's in order, I did last night and today and I can confirm I am not a fan. I like the first song - almost a synthwave vibe. And two or three songs are okay, but otherwise, just way too Jamiroquai-ish for me. I don't HATE it... just not a fan. I love that anything Funky becomes associated with Jamiroquai. ;} Because he is the only funk artist in the world, isn't it he? Isn't that obvious? No, but my wife loves him and to me this stuff sounds like him. But they're not Funk. They're Acid Jazz, and, at times, straight up Disco.

They hope to make it farther west this time around. Working on some really cool things for 2017. I guess you have seen that they will be playing the main stage at M3 Festival in Columbia, Maryland in late April. I'm really psyched for that one. Yeah, that's huge.

Haha! See, now, I love that song. It's one of my theme songs. I've been betrayed and lied to a lot in my life, so I've become a man of action. Words don't mean a thing to me if you won't back it up. It's why I ended my last relationship. But I get that the song has been played to death for the last 25 years. I don't listen to radio, though, so I never noticed.

One of my favourites, too. I'm a huge fan of The Midnight and picked up their vinyl. You mean you're still waiting on the vinyl. Holy shit! I'd watch that, if it was an actual show. Is Gunship mostly vocal? I love Electronic music, and so I don't mind instrumental songs, but Synthwave is at its best with vocals. The s/t album from Gunship in 2015 had vocals on all tracks. It was solid, but to be honest I wasn't a huge fan. Far behind my other fave synthwave artists. I'm not really getting this whole synthwave stuff....I mean basically youre just listening to pop music? Yeah?? Yes, and no. Synthwave is first and foremost Electronic music. It's influenced by the soundtracks of 80's film and TV programs, and video games. It can be heavy on the Electronic side, but a lot of what we are liking are the 80's Pop Rock, and AOR styled tunes. It's massively nostalgic, which is what I love about it.

I saw "I Saw Red" and thought "That has to be a lonely opinion." So far, I appear to be correct.

I was thinking of starting a topic for these guys a month ago when they came across my Bandsintown suggestions. The vocalist has zero hint of an accent, which is very surprising. I wonder if he was actually raised abroad. Oh, and the band name is pronounced One O'clock. That's not me being racist, that's just what Wikipedia told me.

All these best of lists remind me of all the albums I haven't listened to this year. My favourite tune that fits our style would be Treat's "Endangered."
