Midnite City Two new songs coming up
Captain Howdy replied to Captain Holly's topic in AOR and Hard Rock
I see the two Jap bonus tracks are downloadable on Amazon UK at the moment, so maybe the new tracks will become available digitally later. As for Spotify, with the tiny amount they pay artists I am not surprised they are withholding them from there. -

Midnite City Two new songs coming up
Captain Howdy replied to Captain Holly's topic in AOR and Hard Rock
From what I understand both albums have two extra tracks each. The original Japanese bonus track and a newly recorded song. Certainly not enough to justify buying both albums again for me, but if they make them available digitally through the usual places, I would probably just download those individual songs. -
Pretty much any band that does not have their classic vocalist for me is not the same band. A few bands got away with changing vocalists back in the day, which was acceptable, but trying to pass themselves off as the same band 30+ years later without the most defining sound any band has (the vocalist) is just not gonna pass muster for me. Don't even get me started with Quiet Riot.

It's supposedly in a place called Evergreen. No idea if it's real or not. -

Just seen on Band Maid FB page that this list is only for the first three episodes, and will be updated as eps drop, so hopefully more great music from our bands to come. -

Band Maid are one of my fave modern rock bands. Not for everyone though as they sing in Japanese. No idea who Murphy is, but at least he has Ralph Saenz (Michael Starr) with him for some familiarity. -
James Gunn has just put up a playlist for his upcoming TV show "Peacemaker" and it is essentially the soundtrack. Think it's pretty damn impressive list of bands and songs for the most part.

Only discovered them a few months ago when the We got the moves video was somehow recommended to me on YouTube, and the image of the bowl cuts had me intrigued. Loved the song so much I went back and checked out Hypa Hypa and loved that too. Pump it just cemented it for me. Not sure the pre Nico stuff is gonna be essential for me, but I went and bought the MMXX EP (the extended version with the covers by other bands), have bought the two digital singles and eagerly await the album. Not bad for a band that I only just found out about late last year. I hate harsh vocals, hate dance music and tolerate Euro pop, but they somehow mix all of this together and come up with something I cannot get enough of.

Cover Songs that slay the original
Captain Howdy replied to AlphaMale's topic in General Music Discussion
Is there an irony that this thread is basically a cover of this thread? -

Isn't the name "Land Of Gypsies" a bit of an oxymoron seeing as gypsies are supposed to roam and not have roots.
