  1. So how about that Schumacher dude, how do you think he'll do? I was surprised to learn that he wasn't going to race for Ferrari.
  2. mmh, I bought Fireworks at a second hand store, probably about a year ago, I haven't heard it since then, I actually didn't think much of it, I'll have to dig it out again to see what you're getting so worked up about Geoff.
  3. What puzzles me is that the law doesn't say: both hands on the wheel at all times. Instead it says: you can only speak on the phone if you have an in-car kit, some sort of hand free set. That way you can hold a banana up to your ear and speak on the in-car kit all without breaking the law. What if I tip my head towards my shoulder and hold the phone there? does that apply as a 'hand free' solution? I could also put on a John McEnroe sweatband and stick the phone between the sweatband and my head and chat away, would that be okay? the law is stupid because it's contradictory. I'd suggest a law that says, no cell phones are allowed to be turned on once in the vehicle.
  4. Firehouse: Shake and Tumble Rock on the Radio Overnight Sensation Europe: All or Nothing Cherokee Talk to Me White Lion: Broken Heart (Main Attraction version) Lady of the Valley Radar Love (Not theirs, but still a great version of the track) Ozzy: Mr. Tinkertrain Shot in the Dark Mama I'm Coming Home Mötley Crüe: Wildside Same ol' Situation Don't Go Away Mad Megadeth: Skin o My Teeth Hangar 18 Train of Consequences
  5. Actually I think the smoking law is pretty narrow minded, I can't see the problem with having restaurants and bars which allows smoking, as long as there are some which doesn't allow smoking.
  6. About the cellphones, the distractions come from talking on them, not from holding it up to your ear, that's just plain stupid. Just ban the whole thing all together, hand free or not.
  7. The smoking and the cellphone laws apply in the "Nanny-state" known as the UK.Don't think the car law applies here though....Probably does though, hidden in political "bollock-speak"!!!!! I was in the U.K. a couple of years ago, I was shocked to learn that you couldn't even smoke on train stations which were out in the open, it's not that far out in Denmark, at least yet
  8. There's people from all over the world here, I was just wondering if some of the laws that we have here in Denmark are ours only. For instance: Our smoking law: basically it's no smoking in public places, restaurants, bars etc. We are not allowed to talk on a cellphone while driving a car, however if you have one of those earplug sets, it's perfectly fine, you can even hold a banana up to your ear while your using it. The last one I've got for now isn't really a law, but whenever we buy a new car we must pay 180% of the price directly to the state. I bought a Mitsubishi Colt three years ago the price for the car was: 8173 Dollars After I'd payed my taxes to the state the full price was 31059 Dollars Do you have similar laws where you live?
  9. I think Dreamin' in a Casket is the weaker of the three latest albums. 1. Hardcore Superstar 2. Beg For it 3. Dreamin' in a Casket
  10. Might as well have a go at this. Surely the list can change from day to day, but I think a lot of these would stay in my top ten any day. Def Leppard - Pour some Sugar on Me Steelheart - Everybody Loves Eileen Dare - We Don't Need a Reason Tyketto - Wings Slamer - Not in Love Skid Row - I Remember You Mötley Crüe - Wildside The Storm - Fight for the Right Wig Wam - In My Dreams Danger Danger - Bang Bang
  11. Here's some of my favorites, I thought D2 with Paul Laine were great, besides when the Cockroach album came out, I was so used to Laine's voice singing them that I never really got into the Ted Poley versions. Anyway, both versions of the band made some great music. Bang Bang Naughty Naughty Monkey Business I Still Think about You Get Your S**t Together Still Kickin' (Laine) Jaded (Laine) Captain Bring Me Down (Laine) Afraid Of Love (Laine) Cherry Cherry (so overlooked, love this song) Killin' Love Fugitive F.U.$
  12. For some reason my poll is gone? I might be doing something wrong
  13. I know people here are quite fond of Beg for It. My favorite album is No Regrets, it's so damn catchy and I played it for months straight when it came out. I dig the later albums as well, but they all have quite a few fillers, No Regrets is the most consistent album, imo.
  14. Tough to pick just 5 favorites, I suppose that since Wig Wam and Hansel are on no ones lists that they're considered glam and not sleaze, otherwise they'd make my list for sure. 1. Backyard Babies (Older than 10 years, but I consider them part of the new scene anyway) 2. Crashdïet 3. Crazy Lixx 4. Hardcore Superstar 5. Innocent Rosie If this were a glam top 5: 1. The Darkness (I'm gonna get slaughtered for this) 2. Hot Leg (...and then murdered for this) 3. Hansel 4. Wig Wam 5. Reckless Love
  15. Absolutely. I can only second that. This band sound great, one more time and beautiful bomb are amazing. I didn't like Unatractive revolution very much(saw them live, bought the t-shirt and taken a picture with the band). I already love Reckless love, I got a feeling this will maybe be the album of the year. Wow, I thought he sucked on The Unattractive Revolution too but this sounds great.

    N.O.W

Nothing spectacular, but decent stuff nonetheless, Phillip sounds good, the material is just rather average. I'm really liking that Hard - "Time is Waiting for No One" disc coming from Escape soon though.
  17. Sounds good, I always liked it when his country-vibe shines through. Remember those demos, they were great.
  18. 1. Rock and a Hard Place: Typical powerful opener, not the strongest of choruses, which has distorted vocals (I hate that), the verses are excellent though. 2. My Medicine: A funky tune with an "Unskinny Bob"-like intro. In some way the bridge and chorus reminds me of Hysteria-era Def Leppard. 3. 21 'Til I Die: highly melodic song, with some 'ooh oh ooh ooh's' going on, one of my favorite songs so far, reminds me of Kane Roberts Saints and Sinners album. 4. Blame it on Love: The albums absolute strongest song. A semi-ballad which has an AOR flavour to it, looong harmonic and melodic chorus. 5. Road to Babylon: Another standout track, reminds me of Shotgun Messiah (on Second Coming) it has that roughness, light punk feel to it, maybe it's in the title 6. Children of the Cross: Kinda like "Blame it on Love" but not nearly as catchy, I think they were trying to capture something epic with this song, the sound is just a little too thin, imo. 7. The Witching Hour: The verses sounds alot like "Still Kicking" with Danger Danger (Paul Laine version). Punchy and heavy tune, too heavy for me towards the end. 8. Lock Up Your Daughter: Great song, typical party rocker, although the chorus kicks of a bit weird, with some odd breakdowns. 9. Shes Mine: Amazing song, starts out like a Stage Dolls song. A real summer 'cruising with the top down' hit, bluesy in places, with piano and Thunder "Everybody wants her"-like horn. 10. What of our love: The albums big power ballad, not instantly catchy, but it gets better with time, kinda reminds me of Swedish Eroticas "Sweetest of Sins". 11. Desert Bloom: Cinderella style slide guitar and foot stomp for 45 seconds, works as intro to "Voodoo Woman" 12. Voodoo Woman: Great hard rock song, it's textbook but convincingly and skillfully executed, the very end of the chorus reminds me of Gotthards "Mountain Mama".
  19. Great song, very catchy, good thing they got rid of the Olliver Twisted. I doubt they'll ever outdo Rest in Sleaze though, but the new album is bound to be better than The Unattractive Revolution.
  20. Seriously this song "Blame it on Love", I can't stop playing it
  21. Just got the album, it's really good. the track "Blame it on Love" is sensationel. Overall not as sleazy as you'd think.
  22. Just got the reissue from aorheaven, this blows my mind, killer album.
  23. This is amazing, I gotta have a copy of this somehow.
