  1. Couldn't find a thread about this band, but I'm sure some of you have some info on them, like where they're from, what they've released and most importantly how to get a hold of their music. Looks like from the youtube clip that this song is from a 5 track E.P from 87.
  2. My favorite tracks are: "Bleeding", "Cocaine Cowboy", "Not your Enemy" and "Hopefully". The cheapest way to get the cd here in Denmark is billigcd.dk, I don't know if they ship overseas though.
  3. There's plenty of up-tempo songs on the record, The youtube clip is their first single, suppose they were aiming for a little radio airplay, and that's why they released a more mellow track as a first single.
  4. Check out these guys, their debut album "Join the Revolution" is a smash. http://www.myspace.com/shotgunrevolutiondk
  5. Has anyone checked it out yet? this album is awesome, they sound like a mix children of bodom and trivium - plus the style is very melodic :-)
  6. These guys are really good, check out the song "When Chaos Ruled the World" The whole album Primigenia is excellent!
  7. Rod, as is Rod Stewart, Martie is probably the biggest Rod Stewart fan this side of the atlantic. Rene Shades used to play in Sateria.
  8. Wow sounds good, reminds me of Alyson Avenue. You'd think somebody in here would be able to identify it, not me though, sorry.
  9. januar 10, 2010 Album update Here's an update on my album that will (hopefully) come out in 2010 The set back: I have had a few set backs in the past months, first I lost my father in law in October and then my mother died on Christmas eve so it has been a very tough period for me. The good part: I have hooked up with my good friend Rene Shades who is helping me produce the album and it is now coming along nicely and I am sure it will please a lot of you people who have seen me trying to take on Rod's material in the recent years. The songs we are recording are originals written by Shades, Christian and myself but there are surprises too (I won't reveal everything at this point). We have ballads, mid tempo songs and classic rock anthems with horns and everything! Song titles include: The Flame, Strength Of You, The Balcony, All About Myself, The Big Weekend, All The Time, Dreams Die Hard, A Different Kind Of Blue... Like I mentioned in June I have some of the coolest guys from Rod's legendary bands playing on the album. We are trying to blend the glory sound of Stewart's past with something modern and so far I am thrilled with how it is sounding. I will put some videos from the studio online soon so you can get a glimpse of what is going on and even hear some samples of the music. Here is a list of people participating so far: Kevin Savigar - piano/strings/synths Jim Cregan - guitar Tony Brock - drums Paul Robinson - drums Jimmy Zavala - sax/harp Lee Thornburgh - horns Paul Bushnell - bass Christian "Magic" Thiesen - guitar Rene Shades - guitar

  11. Make that the Massa/Schumacher/Button competition. I think Hamilton are to Button this year what Barrichello was to Schumacher, back in the Ferrari dominant days. Hopefully both drivers are allowed to fight for the main driver spot in the first couple of races.
  12. Just got this one yesterday from aorheaven. Great album, Beautiful Bomb reminds me of Skagarack, Back to Paradise has some pure 80's pop elements in it. Overall I think this sounds like a lightweight version of Wig Wam.
  13. Faster Pussycat: 1. Don't Change That Song 2. Babylon 3. Nonstop to Nowhere

The debut was an amazing album, only the intro to "Come to Me" was a bit boring, but I rather enjoy some of the other instrumental stuff, the start of "Not in Love" is great, I wouldn't do without it. Like I said earlier, it's easily one of the best AOR discs this side of the millenium. Favorite songs are: Not in Love Higher Ground Jaded Runaway They're all freakin' great anyway
  15. WARRANT: 1. Cherry Pie 2. Sometimes She Cries 3. Bed of Roses TESLA: 1. Love Song 2. Last Action Hero 3. Gettin' Better

  18. mmh, I bought Fireworks at a second hand store, probably about a year ago, I haven't heard it since then, I actually didn't think much of it, I'll have to dig it out again to see what you're getting so worked up about Geoff. Yes Satan, you should give it another listen. Killer disc. It should be illegal to dislike it. Wow, been listening to it for a while, I must admit it's quite spectacular, I never noticed it had such a Scandinavian flavour to it. Sometimes when your driving home and listen to your newly bought cd, the car stereo doesn't do it justice, I'm definitely gonna try and get a hold of 'Point Blank'.
  19. So how about that Schumacher dude, how do you think he'll do? I was surprised to learn that he wasn't going to race for Ferrari.

  21. What puzzles me is that the law doesn't say: both hands on the wheel at all times. Instead it says: you can only speak on the phone if you have an in-car kit, some sort of hand free set. That way you can hold a banana up to your ear and speak on the in-car kit all without breaking the law. What if I tip my head towards my shoulder and hold the phone there? does that apply as a 'hand free' solution? I could also put on a John McEnroe sweatband and stick the phone between the sweatband and my head and chat away, would that be okay? the law is stupid because it's contradictory. I'd suggest a law that says, no cell phones are allowed to be turned on once in the vehicle.
  22. Firehouse: Shake and Tumble Rock on the Radio Overnight Sensation Europe: All or Nothing Cherokee Talk to Me White Lion: Broken Heart (Main Attraction version) Lady of the Valley Radar Love (Not theirs, but still a great version of the track) Ozzy: Mr. Tinkertrain Shot in the Dark Mama I'm Coming Home Mötley Crüe: Wildside Same ol' Situation Don't Go Away Mad Megadeth: Skin o My Teeth Hangar 18 Train of Consequences
  23. Actually I think the smoking law is pretty narrow minded, I can't see the problem with having restaurants and bars which allows smoking, as long as there are some which doesn't allow smoking.
  24. About the cellphones, the distractions come from talking on them, not from holding it up to your ear, that's just plain stupid. Just ban the whole thing all together, hand free or not.
  25. The smoking and the cellphone laws apply in the "Nanny-state" known as the UK.Don't think the car law applies here though....Probably does though, hidden in political "bollock-speak"!!!!! I was in the U.K. a couple of years ago, I was shocked to learn that you couldn't even smoke on train stations which were out in the open, it's not that far out in Denmark, at least yet
