Yup, sounds as good as the debut, very nice!
When I heard the opening lines of "The One" I thought 'Gotthard cover, no way', luckily it turned out it wasn't.
My brother really dig these guys, I don't mind them either.
They put on a really great live show.
Søren Andersen is the guitarist in Mike Tramp's solo band.
I heard this song recently and thought it was pretty cool.
I was never that much into these power metal bands, but I'm sure a lot of them at some point have made a song like this.
Only other one I can think of is Sonata Artica's "Shy".
So please, share your wisdom with me :-)
Couldn't agree more, Quid Pro Quo was my second favourite album of 2014.
glad to hear it !!!
There's an online radio station called Feel the steel that has actually played 3 other songs from the upcoming album and they are excellent
From the 4 songs I've heard , this seem to be shaping up to be even better than quid pro quo
Fingers crossed!
They have a few nice tunes on some of the stuff they've released since the debut, like "Restless", "Saturday Nite", "Backseat Shake" and "Junkie Girl".
I'd like to hear those on the new album with a prober production job.
Thanks for sharing. Really cool story.
I remember seeing "Hang on Lucy" on Headbanger's Ball, actually it was quite a few years after its release, as it was an old VHS tape my brother had.
I hunted for the cd for years, and finally got it in (I think it was) 2002.
I actually quite like this one, favourite tracks are
Mystery of a blood red rose
Ghostlights
Draconian Love
Master of the Pendulum
Wake up to the moon
The rest are far from fillers though, yeah good album.
Out of curiosity who do you think are among the 10% that still sound as good as back in the day?
Maybe Ronnie Atkins? Johnny Gioeli? Davy Vain? or Jeff Scott Soto?
I actually consider their second to be their best effort. Songs like "Stick and Stones", "Line 'Em Up" and especially "Gypsy (Black-N-Blue Valentine)" are great tunes.
haha, been a while since I've last heard this disc, I do have a playlist though which contains "Once is Not Enough" and "Cmon Cmon", as those are my favourite tunes from it.
What is Paulo doing these days? I remember he had a website way back, selling some really rare stuff, I think it was called Nightsongs or something like that.
