  1. Really liked this...got it on import...this was my first cd I ever bought...from there I slowly replaced all my cassettes & vinyl with discs
  2. See...wishes do come true...please please please Powertool too Bad Reputation release 31st March...doesn't seem to be any bonus tracks...as of yet Sleeze Beez is like the kid next door who basically lives rock and roll to the fullest extent. Sleeze Beez is like the kid who bugs the shit out of his mother to buy him his first guitar, goes to buy the guitar and there’s four other guys doing the same thing. They just got together and it was magic. In a unique twist, Chriz Van Jaarsveld (guitar) and Jan Koster (drums) managed to talk their way into a record deal before a band was even formed. In order to start recording, a band was thrown together featuring Don Van Spall (guitar), Ed Jongsma (bass) and vocalist Tiger. The debut album Look Like Hell was only released regionally in 1987, but Sleeze Beez were beginning to make people take notice. Sleeze Beez managed to fuse the sounds of AC/DC and Def Leppard to create their own unrelenting brand of hard rock and they needed to recruited a new singer. The four Amsterdam Rockers, during the recording of what would become Screwed Blued & Tattooed, replaced front man Tiger by Andrew Elt (ex-Gin on The Rocks) and Sleeze Beez were poised for success. Atlantic Records snatched up the group, got the band considerable airplay for the single “Stranger Than Paradise” and had the boys opening for Skid Row. What you saw, it was what you got with Sleeze Beez. There was no lipstick, just sweat and rock, they just went by their animal instincts. The animal instance is definitively one of the factors that makes the band stand out from the rest. Jan and Andrew handled the songwriting honors for the band. The title track, “Screwed Blued ‘n Tattoed” could be compare to a wet dream. They got the title from and Eddie Murphy movie called “Best Defense” when he was sitting in a tank with two Iranians and he said “well guys, it looks like we’re screwed, blued and tattoed”. That basically sumed it up. “When The Brains Go To The Balls” will remain one of the best song titles by any group in this genre. This rocking tune is as tongue in cheek as you can get. This song put them as a band in a nutshell. “Girls Girls Nasty Nasty” is dedicated to all the girls who went to the show and wanted to get a piece of the band, but as well all the guys who went to the show and wanted to get a piece of the girls. “Screwed Blued ‘n Tattooed” contained something for everybody and it reached #115 on Billboard’s Top 200. The future looked so bright in 1990… Rock In The Western World House Is On Fire Screwed Blued 'N Tattooed Stranger Than Paradise Damned If We Do, Damned If We Don't Heroes Die Young This Time When the Brains Go Down to the Balls Don't Talk About Roses Girls Girls, Nasty Nasty Love it.....

  4. Totally agree, its not a bad album at all...just a bit far removed from Animal Attraction et al...suppose they've just tried something different..like they sort of did on Invader...just different again
  5. Bought this a long time ago from Retrospect and between them and me some toe-rag in the postal service took it out of the packaging and I received an empty jiffy bag, dunno why,its not like the chances of whomever it was even knowing who these guys were ffs
  6. From those listed... Lynch Mob followed by Y&T,Bangalore Choir,220 Volt and Dangerous Toys
  7. From that list Europe but I like the Winger discs,Dirty White Boy,Alice Cooper and Beau Nasty
  8. Motley Crue - Dr Feelgood although the majority of what's listed are great discs.

  10. I have the China disc and it sounds excellent, have picked up a few from them over the years from Danger Danger,Kingdom Come,Lion,Shark Island & Wildside .The label was originally called Axe Killer Records, back then they released House Of Lords,XYZ & Icon to name a few, recently I've picked up Beggars & Thieves,McQueen Street,Dirty White Boy,Jagged Edge & House Of Lords Demons Down,I even have the Giant Last Of The Runaways disc from them in 2010 that is spelt Last Ot The Runaways on the side ,it has it takes two E.P as bonus tracks all sound good to me and are an upgrade from my original releases from way back in the day. I suppose different peoples opinions vary with them just like Rock Candy for instance from the sound perspective,Haven't had a problem myself,in fact I preordered the Blue Tears disc yesterday...even though I just bought the Japan HR/HM100 disc last month
  11. Nice, enjoyed the other two...but I take it that this is original material...so a Gotthard MkII No Romero either but that singer is excellent
  12. Vicious Rumors - Digital Dictator (fuckin love this album) Reckless Love - Turborider (not bad, a few spins now but Im still finding it hard to get to grips with being Reckless Love...bring back Animal Attraction so many other Synthwave bands do this much better..Ozzy cover is...err...interestin)
  13. Definitely a heavier tone to that but the melodic one still hanging in there, loved their debut,i'll have to spin Ignite The Sky again as it passed me by mainly because I didnt find it as immediate if you know what I mean.
  14. Nice,sound ain't great,I like it though
  15. Icon s/t (Rock Candy) Vicious Rumours - Welcome To The Ball Leatherwolf - Street Ready (LW Remaster)
  16. Interestin'...I suppose no other keyboard player was available then?
  17. Yeah FM doing just what FM do..nice stuff
  18. Roxy Blue - Want Some (Japan HR/HM 1000 Vol.4) The Brave - Evie's Little Garden
  19. Dio - Decade Of Dio (6cd Remastered Boxset)
