  1. any clean vocals?? Yeah there's a spoken-word intro to one of the songs. The vocals are harsh but he doesn't scowl as much on this one. If you don't mind Hetfield's vocals then this should be palatable, but not sure it'll be your thing mate. It absolutely batters the new Metallica disc though, IMHO. Mmm might check it out.
  2. Light In The Black - Rainbow
  3. Listen to that guitar fly after the 3 min mark !!
  4. We're probably alone in our opinions on this one, but I didn't like "Sweet Trade" either. But I do really like this tune, will definitely check this one out.... How can you not like 'Heavens Closing In', or 'Kiss Goodbye' ?? These songs are easily as good as anything on the debut and the exact same sound Awesome songs for me, esp 'Kiss Goodbye'. I dunno, I never bought it - just listened to soundbytes. In all honesty the debut (which I do own) didn't blow me away either. Prefer WigWam.... I know its not very good quality cos its live but......... still sounds awesome.
  5. It's probably in the fuckin' pub........... I wish I was in the fuckin pub! And me........If only I drunk fuckin' lager again......... I'll buy you a fuckin fruit shoot
  6. Im always a bit behind these days - what with the kiddie running amock and work being fuckin busy I still love that 2nd album as well. Especially the last 4 songs. Backed - 'Band Of Brothers' especially was an awesome track on 'Sweet Trade'. Can't see why some people don't like this disc really. Yes, it isn't as good as the debut imo, but it certainly has some strong songs on it. Kiss Goodbye was probably my fav

  9. I agree. But the truth is, all of the best 80's hard rock vocalists are missing here... imo. You do jest of course. I'd agree that most in the list are pretty shite. But, Perry, Mercury, Dio and Dickinson would all feature in (certainly the first 3) or near my top 10 vocalists. & if you disagree with that, then you have a pretty lonely opinion in this matter ..And Paul Rodgers and David Coverdale of course. Yeah, but they are not on the list........but agreed of course. Paul Rodgers would be a bit further down for me.....I know quite a few consider him God, but not me Im afraid. Good, but not God

  16. WTF? Putting aside the fact I think there are only really 2 good songs on it ("Didnt Know it was Love" & "Desperate Dreams"), I don't get how it could be considered as influential? AOR was starting to fade-out in terms of popularity by this point, & the album sold poorly resulting in the band splitting after the album was released. If you'd listed "Vital Signs" then I would've backed you, but this album & the horrible "Reach" were big failures (commercially & musically) in their catalogue IMO. Well, totally backed in it NOT being influencial, but I still love that album. Only one or two fillers...the rest rock big time. Also, is it AOR?? Id say more melodic hard rock....completely different sound to say 'Vital Signs'.

    Proper Footie 2008/9

Read today that Paddy Power have paid out on all bets for Utd doing the domestic treble. Unbelievable at this stage in the season. Their reasoning was.........'if no-one can score against them, how is anyone going to beat them???!' Good question.
