  1. I'm kind of torn right now if Shake City or Pistol Dawn is the best Eonian release. Nice. Pistol Dawn is easily my fave of the first 4, so hopefully I agree. The Pistol Dawn was my 3rd fave behind High Noon and Charlemagne on first listen but over time it's passed both of those. Gynger Lynn has so many great songs but the production is shitty. Pistol Dawn is my fave of the Eonian releases so far, with UZI right behind. Very much looking forward to the Sgt. Roxx release as well! What do you think of the Shake City so far Mike? To be honest, I was within an eyelash of grabbing Shake City when I picked up UZI, as I really liked the first 2-3 songs, but as I continued listening to the samples, the quality really tailed off in my opinion. I may re-visit it someday down the road, but for right now, it's not a must have for me. My faves in order: Pistol Dawn UZI High Noon Can't wait for Sgt. Roxx!
  2. http://www.wdam.com/Global/story.asp?S=10948310 Brett THAT EGOTISTICAL MORON headed to Minnesota Posted: Aug 18, 2009 10:35 AM EDT Updated: Aug 18, 2009 1:33 PM EDT HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Brett THAT EGOTISTICAL MORON will sign with the Minnesota Vikings this afternoon for around $12 million, according to sources at ESPN. THAT EGOTISTICAL MORON boarded a Vikings team plane today (Tuesday) at 9:10 a.m. at the Hattiesburg Laurel Regional Airport. He and his wife, Deanna, landed in St. Paul, Minn., around noon. THAT EGOTISTICAL MORON's agent, Bus Cook, told USA Today Tuesday a contract with the Vikings is a "done deal." According to football players at Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg, THAT EGOTISTICAL MORON has not missed one of their workouts in the three weeks since telling the Vikings he would stay retired. THAT EGOTISTICAL MORON was out practicing with the Warrior football team as late as Monday afternoon. He has spent the past seven off seasons working out at the high school. The Biloxi Sun Herald reported Tuesday THAT EGOTISTICAL MORON's mother, Bonita, said her son will work out with the Vikings Wednesday and should take reps Friday night in a preseason game against the Kansas City Chiefs. "I have mixed emotions, but I have always loved to watch him play," she told the newspaper. "This time, however, I thought he would stay retired and stay home. I guess he could not do it." "They (Minnesota) seem to have a good team in place, and he liked that," Bonita THAT EGOTISTICAL MORON added. "I guess I need to get a Vikings jersey now." Rumors have been passed around in recent weeks that THAT EGOTISTICAL MORON, a former Green Bay Packers and New York Jets quarterback, would join the Minnesota Vikings before the end of the preseason. ©2009 WDAM. ROCK AND ROLL ALL NITE ----------------------------------------- KISS and Walmart announced today that SONIC BOOM-the band's highly anticipated CD, and its first new material in 11 years-will be sold in the U.S. and Canada exclusively at Walmart, Walmart.com and Sam's Club retail locations beginning October 6. SONIC BOOM, produced by the band's Paul Stanley in Los Angeles, is the centerpiece of a three-disc set that also features a completely re-recorded greatest hits CD as well as a live DVD shot in Argentina during the band's recent, record-breaking KISS ALIVE 35 South American tour. The CD set will retail for $12, with pre-orders starting in September on Walmart.com. KISS' Gene Simmons says, "SONIC BOOM may be the best new record we've done since Destroyer! It is Rock And Roll Over meets Love Gun. The world's biggest retailer had better get ready for the hottest band in the world and hire more cashiers before October 6th!" Stanley continues, "Through all of the albums that are considered our classics, we tried to always find ways to give our fans extras that went beyond just the music. Besides our making the best KISS album in decades, Walmart has made it possible for us to include a bonus CD with 15 of our most famous songs and an additional live DVD, shot during our recent concert in Buenos Aires. So in every sense, SONIC BOOM is the ultimate return to classic KISS form. You wanted the best, you got the best!" Walmart, one of America's largest music retailers, is finalizing its exciting plans now for its in-store and online destinations for KISS fans surrounding the launch of the new album and tour, and will host various KISS products in addition to their music in its stores this fall. More details on Walmart KISS activity, announcements regarding album pre-sales, sweepstakes and KISS appearances will be shared shortly.

  5. "Serious Drag", "So Long", and "Hell Yeah" were on Rarities from 2007, and as far as I know, all are supposed to be on Hell Yeah: http://www.heavyharmonies.com/cgi-bin/glam...CDName=Rarities http://www.jaimestjames.com/bnb.html The title track is the only one I really like out of the three...
  6. Caught the 1:15 showing of District 9 today. Pretty entertaining flick. Lots of action, a relatively easy to follow storyline, and quite different from anything else I've seen this year.
  7. Well, due to my birthday falling slab dab in the middle of the work week, the celebrating was actually pretty laid back. Cooked out some t-bones at the in-laws, and then opened some presents, which included several new CDs. Taking Friday off and gonna go see District 9 with the kids, and then gonna have some friends over to party Saturday.
  8. Aww... thanks everyone! It's overcast and rainy right now in Morganton, NC but it's sunny in my heart!
  9. Happy belated Birthday Dave; hope it was a good 'un! Mike

  13. According to the band/instrument listing in the liner notes he IS on it.... ive read reviews he isnt? weird Well, according to several sites I looked at (such as: http://www.answers.com/topic/murder-by-pride ) Robert did NOT play on the album. Drums were provided by Kenny Aronoff. Weird part is that Kenny only gets a mention under the "Additonal Musician Credits" in the liner notes. It looks like if he had provided the drums on the album, he would have been fully credited for them, with a note saying that Robert would be the touring drummer. Kinda misleading info from the band there....

  15. There's been talk of doing another movie; not a sequel per se, but another film done from the perspective of a different group of people. http://teaser-trailer.com/2009/01/cloverfi...eld-sequel.html
  16. I actually watched the movie again earlier this year on DVD, in the confines of my own home, and enjoyed it. If they do a sequel, I'm in, but not til it hits Pay Per View...
  17. You can listen to "Outer Space" from the upcoming album in full at: http://www.idesignprod.com/AF/
  18. I missed season one, but have been watching season two every week without fail. Gawd I'm crushin' on Anna Paquin; she grew into quite a young woman! Vampire Bill is one lucky bastard (they're dating in real life)
  19. Agreed. The first episode was kinda slow as they introduced us to everyone, but the second one picked up quite a bit. I'll keep watching... for now. *Anyone else catch the song that was playing in the one bar scene? True Love (Hell Yeah) by Charm City Devils
  20. Tommy Denander just broke the news on the Noticeboard at MR.com: http://forums.melodicrock.com/phorum33/rea...22&t=357022 and it is addressed here on JSS' site: http://jeffscottsoto.com/news/marcel/marcel.html Seems he took his own life... very sad. Hopefully he has found peace. http://www.heavyharmonies.com/cgi-bin/find...ut=Marcel+Jacob
