  1. Would this be it... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6kplh51lPg
  2. So where has Mr. Geoff disappeared to this time? Vacation? Alien abduction? Finally starting that goat farm?
  3. After much deliberation, I went with Romero, but I like what all three did with the character. Another honorable mention to Andrew Koenig (played Boner on Growing Pains - committed suicide last year - RIP) who did a damn good job in the Batman - Dead End short film IMO...
  4. From http://www.manowar.com/ Scott Columbus, Rest In Peace Tuesday - April 05, 2011 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our brother Scott Columbus. Scott Columbus was a rare talent and equally a rare individual. He was a father, a friend and a brother of metal. All of the great moments we spent together in the studio, in our homes and on the road are burnished in our hearts and memories forever. These words are spoken with heavy hearts but we have the comfort of knowing that he is in a good place and at peace. He will never be forgotten. Your family and brothers, Joey, Eric, Karl, Donnie And all at Magic Circle Music ----------------------------------------- http://www.rockediti...scott-columbus/ Columbus rose to prominence in the early '80s after replacing Manowar drummer Donnie Hamzik. Following Manowar's 1988 album 'Kings of Metal,' Columbus parted ways with the band. He later returned to the group in 1995 and played on 'Warriors of the World,' 'Louder Than Hell, and 'Gods of War' before leaving in 2008. It has been said that Columbus was such a powerful drummer that his drums had to be made of stainless steel in order to withstand his punishing blows. His kit became known as "The Drums of Doom." The cause of his death has not yet been determined. ---------------------------- R.I.P. Scott.... was just listening to Kings of Metal earlier today. Another soul leaves us way too soon...
  5. I get it, but it's still retarted to do this. This Dr.Goon's guy sold those 16 cd's for about 550$, that's about 45$ to 50$ in fees if not more....what an idiot either way. If these shill bidders don't pay this Dr.Goon's through Paypal, it is weird that Ebay doesn't jump all over this one, because obviously the transaction is not completed if your buddy is winning simply to raise the prices of items and no money transaction is ever done with Paypal. To be honest I always place bids on items from the same 4 or 5 sellers, I rarely ever win or bid anything over 5$, but these are the sellers in my fav sellers list on Ebay, so therefore I only show up bidding when a seller I know and like has something for sale. Once in awhile I win cheap items just to try and resell for more $$. Is it me or should 'private' feedback not be allowed on Ebay? I had one idiot who kept his feedback 'private' because he simply kept leaving negs to sellers and no one was the wiser. I agree, it seems stupid to incur these fees for NOT actually selling the CDs, but who knows how some people's minds work? Not a fan of private feedback at all; I know some people have a legit reason for it (a seller uses a private ID for buying great deals he finds and doesn't want his customers to see what he has paid for something he re-sells), but more times that not, it's simply someone hiding something negative.
  6. Dave, I think the damning evidence here is that if you look at what these bidders have bid on over the last 30 days, it seems they've ONLY bid on Dr Goon's auctions. Would a real music buyer limit themselves to bidding on only one seller's items? Sure looks like shill bidding to me...particularly the "norzy" ID with the private feedback. Bidder norzy's bids over last 30 Days Bidder momojirous' bids for last 30 days If you'll notice too, the bids are being placed during the last day or two of the auctions, not at the last second to try to "snipe" and win the auctions. They're simply acting as Dr. goon's reserve price, and he's hoping someone will meet it. Guess he figures the eBay final value fees paid on a handful of CDs that haven't actually sold is worth it if he's not getting what he thinks his CDs are worth.
  7. The Fighter Loved the film, although, like many, I'm not sure why Mickey's trio of fights with Arturo Gotti was not at least covered in the prologue. Still, great film.
  8. http://www.bakonvodka.com/ Our Story We started out testing various infusions in our kitchen in the fall of 2007. We wanted to do it right, to create a premium-quality vodka you'd enjoy drinking. To match an infusion, we tested recipes for over two years, finally landing at the one true "Bakon Vodka". We start with a superior quality potato vodka. Distilled in Idaho from potatoes, it is smooth, slightly sweet with the well-rounded flavor that you only get from a quality potato distillation, with no strong burn or aftertaste. Our vodka is column-distilled using a single heating process that doesn't "bruise" the alcohol like the multiple heating cycles needed to make a typical pot-still vodka. Getting the perfect savory bacon flavor took us a while to get right too. We wanted it to have the essence of a delicious crisp slice of peppered-bacon. After numerous recipes and a lot of testing, we got it right. And we think you'll agree. You'll never want to use another vodka for your Bloody Mary... and you'll be amazed with the versatility of Bakon Vodka - see our Recipes page for more ideas! ----------------------------------------------- Hell, throw a sprig of lettuce in your Bloody Mary, and you've got a B.L.T.! *I thought this was an April Fool's joke when I saw it this morning...nope!
  9. Here are a few examples of what the Time Warp releases look like:
  10. I picked up Legion - S/T last week, and am really enjoying it. Not a lot of fanfare surrounding its release late last year, but it's a damn solid hard rock release IMO. Phil Vincent's vocals are solid as usual, and Vince O'regan does some very "Lynch-ish" guitar playing at times. Check 'em out: http://www.heavyharmonies.com/cgi-bin/glamcd.cgi?BandNum=5766&CDName=Legion http://www.nehrecords.com/shop/LegionLegion.htm
  11. Picked this one up from NEH Records last week, and I must say, this is one excellent re-issue. Digitally remastered, three bonus tracks, lyrics to all songs included in the booklet, and the fact that this was already a great little indie release back in the day make this a must have for melodic hard rock lovers. *I do wonder why the proposed re-issue via AOR-FM never happened? What spurred the band to eventually re-issue through Schmankerl Records I wonder? Mike
  12. Awesome news! http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2011/03/24/its-official-fringe-renewed/86988 Great news for Fringe fans: Fox has renewed Fringe for a fourth season with a full season order of 22 episodes. You will not have to gut out the white knuckle ride until May!
  13. This toy certainly gives new meaning to <ahem> "giving someone the finger"... I'll bet this one was popular with the young ladies..
  14. Gary Moore - Out in the Fields ~ The Very Best of D.A.D - Riskin' It All
  15. I always wanted a sequel too... I think they should have done "Bang Tango and Cash"! The story of a rock band who are framed for the murder of a drunken groupie and must get Kurt Russell to help them figure out what really happened during that drunken orgy of drugs, sex, and violence!
  16. Whew.... thought I'd be slagged mercilessly for even posting this... lol. I've liked the Darkness since the first time I heard them back in '03 (I thought OWTTHAB was the stronger of their 2 albums), and I also enjoyed the output from the follow-up bands Hot Leg (Red Light Fever sounds like a natural follow-up to Permission To Land) and Stone Gods (Burn the Witch and You Brought a Knife to Gunfight are EXCELLENT). I'm looking forward to hearing what they come up with for a third outing.
  17. The Darkness return to the light http://www.thesun.co...-the-light.html JUSTIN HAWKINS is dusting off his spandex catsuits to reform rockers THE DARKNESS. The falsetto-loving Lord, 35, has patched up his bitter differences with brother DAN in advance of the quartet's return. The surprise reunion was confirmed by the launch of a new website http://www.theactualdarkness.com No official statement has been released, but original group members ED GRAHAM and FRANKIE POULLAIN are also believed to have signed up. A third album is now on the cards as well as a number of festival dates. Justin quit the band in 2006 after catastrophic problems with drugs and alcohol. His departure sparked a rift with lead guitarist and sibling Dan. In an exclusive interview with The Sun at the time he opened up about the extent of his cocaine battle. He said: "I feel bad for the others, but I can't do it any more. "I hit absolute rock bottom. I spent over £150,000 on cocaine in three years - a frightening amount. I was consuming up to five grams a day which cost me £1,000 a week, sometimes more. "I regularly used to stay up for four days at a time on coke and alcohol binges. "I became secretive, volatile and verbally abusive, a really unpleasant person to be around. There were lots of periods I don't even remember, blackouts." Dan, 34, and his remaining Darkness bandmates soon got cracking on new band Stone Gods. Two years later Justin formed Hot Leg. The Darkness are best known for their 2003 hit single I Believe In A Thing Called Love - taken from No1 selling debut album Permission to Land. They scooped Best Rock Act at the 2004 Brit Awards, before releasing follow-up One Way Ticket to Hell ... And Back. The title seems quite apt now. --------------------------------------------- As promised… following a 5 year hiatus, The Darkness will make their return to the world stage on Friday 10th June 2011 at Donington Park where the band will keep the main stage warm for Def Leppard at this year's Download Festival. Prior to this event, The Darkness will be locked in an East Anglian studio working on tracks that will in time become the band's third album. For the avoidance of doubt, The Darkness is : Justin Hawkins, Dan Hawkins, Frankie Poullain, Ed Graham. More news shall no doubt be forthcoming before too long. In the meantime, tickets for Download and further information can be found at : http://www.downloadf...val.co.uk/2011/
  18. Two new songs from Funny Money Live 02-19-11 When Love Plays Dead Die Hard Really digging "Die Hard"
  19. I actually like "Just War Theory"; unfortunately, I can't say the same of the majority of the other samples: http://www.melodicro.../hurtsmile.html "Jesus Would You Meet Me" has that "Hole Hearted" acoustic thang going on, which I dig, but I can't really get excited about any others. I'll be passing on this one.
