  1. I have an odd question. I found a copy of No Rules in a used store yesterday. I was just curious to know if anyone knows if there is a diffrence in the appearance of the original releases and the releases you can get on CDBaby now. The one I have has a booklet with lyrics and there is a plane on the cd. I have had the CDBaby version but I don't remember (yes I know I am getting old) the plane logo on the disc. Thanks for any help. BTW I haven't listened to it in a long time and it really is a great cd. Sandy
  2. That really sux. I really feel for his family. One of my favs.
  3. Got mine a couple of days ago. GREAT CD!!!!!!! This has to be one of the best this year.+
  4. Several years ago My family was at the beach and went to a flea market. Finding cds in a flea market is not unusual but we went to a booth that this old lady was selling quilts, dolls and other girly things and stuck in a corner there was a shoe box with cds in it. Mostly they were christmas but I did find a couple of shockers: 220 Volt and Joanna Dean. Imagine my suprise. I took the cds and smiled as I handed the lady my $4.00.
  5. My wife really loves it. She uses the street level alot. She grew up in NYC so she visits the old neighborhood often.
  6. I live outside of Chapel Hill. every couple of weeks I go to WS and Gboro to the Ed McKay to check out cds.
  7. Yea I watched the first one. Looking forward to the second one and the new cd. BTW will you guys be doing any shows here in NC? I live about 1.5 hrs from WInston and High Point? Thanks
  8. Disc-Connected is a great slice of Melodic Rock. I really like the S/T also.
  9. That was sad. Great White has always been a favorite of mine. I guess Jack Russsell wanted to see them too. I feel for the DJ also. JR seemed to be one of his favorite interviews and to hear him like that must have been really upsetting. Sandy
  10. I use swapacd also and like you I will get a good one every once in a while.
  11. I do. Swaptree is what lala users were directed to when lala went digital. You could upload your want and have lists. It works pretty well for me. You can trade books, cds , DVDs and games. Alot of the time you are not trading directly with the person you are sending your item to. For example I might get a notice of a trade to accept or reject. I might be sending a book to person A and A is sending a game to B and B is sending a book to C and C is sending a cd from my want list to me(hence swaptree). I never know who the other players are except who I am sending an item to and who is sending an item to me. When you list an item in your have list if direct trades are possible ST will tell you and you can pursue a direct trade if you want to. The only charge is the postage.
  12. Finally got a chance to listen to it (wife had neck sugery) so I was kind of busy. It has a real Firehouse feel to it. That is not really surprising since they were from the same area. It is a fantastic sounding cassette. I would love for it to be released on disc.
  13. I found a 1991 cassette by a band called Gypsie. They are from Charlotte NC They sound pretty good. The Casette is in perfect condition. Has anyone heard of these guys. Thanks Sandy
  14. Brazil is the only place I have blocked. I have had a couple bad experiences with the postal service this year. I have never had a problem with China but Italy is really on my fence. The only thing for me is I sold alot to Brazil and still sell a bit to Italy. Sandy
  15. I guess Journey will be Journey and even with their last album they were able to create great AOR songs, to go conceptual, I don't know. I can't think of an AOR concept album. With bands like Rush and Queensryche their concept albums fit their catalog musically and really pushed their careers over the top (2112 and Mindcrime anyone). Journey is already at the top and have been there a long time. What could they change their style to that would keep their AOR fans interested enough to buy their cd. I think that it will be a mistake (can anyone say Kilroy Was Here?). But I will be their to get it when it comes out, so let the wait begin!!!! Sandy
  16. All I wanted was a good game and it was. And YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Danica BTW that is my youngest daughter's name

  20. I found some info on Rumble Dog (That is how it is spelled in the cd cover). The info I found and on ebay it is spelled 1 word. RD are members of Dirty Looks.
  21. Is this the Hunting Sleeve you found Huntin Sleeve mp3s Is the Wretched Excess a self titled release or the Metal band that released "Mass Consumption" Wretched Excess That is the Hunting Sleeve. Thanks The Wretched Excess is a S/T. I found out that Dave has one in his store (mistdiscs). His musical comparisons are pretty accurate.
  22. I need some help on some indies I found today. Wretched Excess Jades Parlor Hunting Sleeve Amsterdam- not the metal band but a southern rock band Rumble Dog Does anyone know any info on these bands? Thanks for the help Sandy PS- They will be coming to an auction near you.

Also found cassettes of Dirty Looks Turn of the screw, Platinum Blonde Standing in the dark, FM Tough It Out (sealed) and City Boy The Day The Earth Caught Fire.
