  1. good return album, a sound of 1984 in 2011. 27 years for a sophomore album, but well worth the wait!
  2. does anyone know if Virginia Wolf released more videos, other than the Waiting for Your Love, which is on Youtube in rather poor quality
  3. 20 years of pop hits....whether you like pop music or not, it's a long time to be producing commercial hits! And how about the 90's grunge look of both Max and Denniz Pop in their early days at Cheiron.... anyway, I found this interesting, and his early band It's Alive is in the database It's Alive - Sing this Blues (1993) It's Alive - Metalapolis (1992)
  4. very good picks Mr AOR! That Wilson Ferguson track was produced by Roberto Zanetti (of Savage ).. here are some more 80's Italo Disco favorites of mine... Max Coveri - One More Time Rofo - Beach Love Topo & Roby - Under the Ice Public Passion - Flash in the Night Aleph - Fly to Me Sandy Marton - People from Ibiza The Creatures - Japan Jimmy McFoy - Hi Girl ivan - Fotonovella Moon Ray - Comanchero
  5. good stuff, consistently melodic with strong pop hooks!
  6. first time I hear of this band, but a touch of Swedish melodic rock is what I needed, good stuff!
  7. Anyone have favorites? I live in US and it's pretty obscure here, but ironically it's some of the catchiest tunes I ever heard, great to dance to. i discovered a plethora of artists on Youtube.... many in English, but some also in Italian from festivals like San Remo, Festivalbar and shows like Eurotops etc.. maybe a guilty pleasure, but a great pleasure of mine, so here are some of my favorites... start with Italy, then Germany... later maybe i will think of French Chanson and some Scandi stuff too... Italo... Den Harrow - Future Brain Baltimora - Tarzan Boy Fred Ventura - Wind of Change Brian Ice - Over Again Robert Camero - Love Games Webo - Magic Moments My Mine - Can Delight Miko Mission - How Old Are You JD Jaber - Don't Wake Me Up Ken Laszlo - Hey hey guy Joe Yellow - I'm Your Lover Gazebo - Masterpiece RaF - Self Control Savage - Only You Radiorama - Chance to Desire Albert One - Turbo Diesel Romano Bais - Dial my number Spagna - Easy Lady Meccano - Activate My Heart Ricchi e Poveri - Se M'innamore Al Bano & Romina Powers - Felicita Umberto Tozzi - Tu Viola Valentino - Romantici Alan Sorrenti - Tu Sei L'Unica Donna Per Me Toto Cutugno - L'italiano Piero Ipazio - Il Mio Cuore Il Tuo Core - Italian cover of German Euro cult classic by Modern Talking (You're My Heart You're My Soul)... 8. talented singer and songwriter gone too soon, very sad... I think this news makes listening to his slower emotinal songs such as One More Try, Different Corner, Careless Whisper, Last Christmas a lot harder...
  9. kind of post-grunge style, but with a certain Swedish melodic vibe. I liked i. This band deserved more international attention
  10. yeah, I love Tell Me, other songs I listened to are also very good
  11. not bad, although I do not like the vocals here
  12. this band is very consistent, their recent releases are very good melodic hard rock, very enjoyable to listen. Tempest is a very talented tunesmith and singer
  13. who wrote songs for this album? Does anyone have that information. Nice melodic AOR album.
  14. I loved song Destiny, perfect track! The album is also nice. heh heh songs Child of The Sun and Scandinavian Girls sound like Pop songs that could have improved catalog of for example Backstreet Boys or One Direction etc. Personally I loved it, nice Scandi Pop/AOR!
  15. good melodic album, right from the first Killer song
  16. I'm always pleased finding these obscure but excellent melodic AOR releases from Germany... like this one LP outfit. A much softer sound than early Scorpions or Bonfire here...probably closer in style to bands like Boston..but more melodic I think Hello & Goodbye, Days of Summer, Burning River, and From Coast to Coast are such great songs! The most famous one is Hurricane I think. All from one and only album from 1980...
  17. what's up with all the negative comments about the new album? Good melodic rock, not much filler, just good tunes
  18. found this on Youtube from a Swedish national selection for Eurovision 2013, they call it Melodifestivalen... a campy Eurovision track on the AOR side of things...I first thought it was a woman singing on stage... some here might enjoy this track.. the father of that singer it says is in a heavy rock band Corroded... Corroded is very worth checking out if you like the heavier Rock sound..
