  1. Just had email from Amazon it has been dispatched. As for the Metal Mayhem version I have no idea, as far as I know it was BIG news late last year when it was released so maybe the version you have is just a CDR made from the versions that have been around in trading circles from quite some time. What details does it say on the label, cd number, copyright and release date (that kind of thing)? For those who currently own it can compare details with you.
  2. I was looking for a few cds Extreme, Reckless Love and Danger Danger to buy in the UK at popular online sites (most offer free postage) like HMV, Amazon and Play.com and absolutely shocked at the prices Anyway I have some good news Vain cd is selling for £8.96 from amazon uk so order it!! They go for around £20 on ebay, I purchased 1 from amazon just so do yourself a favour and get it. It's a great community on here so I hope everyone who wants one gets a copy and someone doesn't order lots just to sell on ebay for a profit. As for the danger danger and extreme cds I will probably end up buying in the next couple of years when the price drops
  3. Trouble tribe is excellent, I liked Slaughter when I first heard them and still do now but I tend to steer away from screechy vocalists if I can. So can't handle listening to more than a few tunes by slaughter in one sitting. I wish they did more tunes like 'Searchin' when Mark turns down the screech level
  4. Even stranger it was me who made the original post!!! I did get it from someone, didn't like it and ended up trading it not long after. Haven't traded a cd in about 6 yrs now!!
  5. Agreed about the costs, though managed to get 'The unattractive revolution" cheap off ebay in the UK (where I live!). The new song is good but nothing outstanding imo, both albums are good but they seem to get labelled as perfection on most boards where I think both cds have their fair share of fillers. What is really great about them though is the drive they have after, after band problems to frequently release new albums and tour etc.., Would like to hear new Danger Danger (dont think this will happen), Extreme (more likely) and Tyketto (who knows?? must have original guitarist writing/playing) this year.
  6. I wish they would and I think I'm probably the only one on this board who rates them higher than other similar styled bands like Steel panther, Wig Wam and the Poodles. Yeah, I like the others and had high hopes with the Steel panther cd but leaving my favourite song off 'Big boobs' and found it all a bit too samey after a while. The Darkness also have some great B-Sides too (not many hard rock bands have the chance to have B-sides unfortunately!).
  7. I hope Ted Poley has a release out in 2010. I would like a new Tyketto cd but ONLY if the original guitarist co-writes too, I like Danny Vaughn but his other releases don't come anywhere close to Tyketto imo. I just don't have time to discover new bands so I usually stick to checking out my fav old bands like Extreme, Danger Danger, Motley Crue etc.., Out of the newer stuff I hope the crashdiet is decent. Finally, If Lillian Axe or Vain release another cd I hope they return to a sound like their early days
  8. Would be good if they included lyrics, photos and biography of the band and a story to why this cd took took so long to be released. Hope this gets released elsewhere as not paying 17 GBP to buy a cd in Germany when I live in the UK. If copies hit ebay it may go for stupid prices Still I only ever dreamed this would get released so a step in the right direction, now if only that Blackfish 2nd cd would be re-released.
  9. Definately wrong samples, I have the original indie cd "Honest planet" in my hands. St. Warren are a MUST for a lillian axe fans around the Love n War era, can't think of another band who sound so similar to be honest. Very interested in these if there are new tracks etc.., and a whole albums worth of new material
  10. I think Love, Survial & Drive and Heavens Wish would suit this record label. I posted about Love, Survial & Drive some time ago and barely anyone replied. Amazing band shame they never released a thing Heavens wish almost had a re-release at Suncity record labels, they did release a cd but it's indie and am not paying stupid prices.
  11. The 2nd unreleased album imo is on par with the debut and the same style, google for it especially on music blogs and download yourself a copy you won't be disappointed. The first three albums are great ('Move on it' the thired album nods towards the direction of FADE) , after that not so much.
  12. When Vain toured the UK a few years ago, my mate promoted a couple of the gigs. Davy Vain at that time didn't have a copy of All Those Strangers on any format. He didn't even own the rights to NR!!! IMO the last few vain/davy cds were just ok at best, so I don't expect anything else of real quality to come out from the band. Hope they put their energy into releasing this.

  14. I have all their cd's apart from the last 2 which I would only pick up if cheap on ebay. Anyway I mentioned on the St Warren thread how good the cd is and like lillian axe, any other bands with a similar sound? I'm sure a similar thread about this has been raised in the past but heh thought I would ask again. Oh and the song 'Fields of yesterday' is epic my fav post Ron song.
  15. Haven't bothered to read all the previous pages why wasn't "BIG BOOBS" on the cd??? That's my favourite song Imo I don't think the song writing is quite there yet, I much prefer the Darkness where the lyrics are tongue n cheek and more subtle. The jokes wear thin after a few listens, excellent muscians though and I wish the singer stayed long enough with LA Guns to do a full album rather than an EP. Wasted is an amazing LA Guns track.
  16. Once again I gotz to give MAD props to yo MC skillz, Dawg. HOLLA!! It's about time they got decent distribution on their albums! Picked up the last cd cheap off ebay but waiting for a re-release of the debut.
  17. They sound EXACTLY like love n war era Lillian axe on 'Honest planet' very very good cd. I can rip and upload St Warren - Honest planet, if anyone wants a listen?
  18. I remember reading sometime post 2007 that the masters were lost and without some finanicial backing they would stay that way (Think it was on that vain fan website/board). So odd that Davy Vain in 2006 would state its coming soon.
  19. 'Cat on a hot tin roof' and 'now your on your own' (I think ??) were awesome whereas there wasn't a duffer the rest just weren't in that league. I can't remember a ballad either on that cd...
  20. BUMP. Copies have been sold on ebay and I still can't believe the music hasn't been shared to melodic rock fans yet :-( Anyone heard it?
  21. On first few listens I think it is nowhere near as good as "Made In Calfornia", even though its got more guitars and better production imo it aint got the songs. Anyone else agree? I dont think anyone will ;-) I liked the orignal s/t over version 1.2 or whatever it was called. Anyway it's not that I dont like it, just slightly disappointed still Im going to have it on in the background and see if its a grower.
  22. I've had a quick listen through the album and remembering thinking the production wasn't great but ermm maybe that because I downloaded it. Real shame the track "Heros" was left off it, a good strong track. Need to re-listen to give an informated opinion.
  23. I think he gets better with each release (haven't heard the samples yet though) apart from the remake of the debut where I think im the only person who prefers the original. Made in California is a great great cd and with each release he adds more modern influences so Im interesting in hearing this.
  24. I was thinking of the danish band "Lemon crush" when I read Crush. I must dig out my copy and see if Lemon crush were any good.
