  1. Resurrecting this thread, just to see if anybody as actually heard the full cd? Some record label needs to contact the band to see if they would participate in getting this released, can't believe in this day and age with the internet this hasn't been traded around. I missed the ones on ebay else would have contacted the buyers to blag some mp3's doh! Another moan why cant one of the bigger record labels help to find the master for Vains 'All those strangers' ... shame, can't be any better time now as melodic rock is more popular than has it been in a while with all the festivals and all that going on ....
  2. Nice one thanks, it wasn't showing any details from the mp3 tags when I browsed the dir in XP and ermm don't think VLC player is much better. Still great song, Im off to check out the rest.
  3. Greetings, Playing some tunes when I found an unnamed track with no mp3 tags just labeled "Track 05.mp3" The main chorus is "Where I'm going I don't know, but i will not stop even if the journeys slow, paths that changed wish i knew it from the start, missed your chance for what I know is in your heart." I've attached the track, really like this one. Killer vocals and great guitar work. Anyone know who it is?? Track 05 Cheers
  4. Anyone willing to upload this for me please ???? Killing me not being able to hear it!
  5. Looking on myspace at it seems like it was months and months ago that the new material was being mastered and almost ready for release. The songs on myspace are really really good, pleasantly suprised. Steevi Jaimz Still trying to get into newer tigertailz which on first listen wasn't bad just somehow forgettable. Anyone got a more accurate release date?
  6. Im not a myspace/facebook fan, I've posted on a few forums if I can't get any results suppose I could sign up.
  7. Interesting read from his 20Qs at Metal sludge. Jesse Metal Sludge 20Qs
  8. Well I found a link to the last erotic suicide songs (2005) but the links are now broken LInks to ES3 songs Anyone got these songs and willing to share them?
  9. A follow up to my trade post for this cd, since its out of stock at cdbaby would some kind soul upload me a copy? I have tracks "shine on" and "sweet lilly" already, so five tracks left. I'm not a leech honest Thanks!
  10. If you want some stuff in the exact same vein check out this guy: Simon Boyce http://www.simonboyce.com.au/music.html Ive been meaning to order this CD. Hes a big fan of Paul Alan's solo stuff (yet amazingly has never heard Nouveaux!) haha tahts just 2 wierd for me.. simon's stuff atleast by mp3's isn't bad at all. He's a nice guy. Lives in Queensland somewhere. I really should get this album. Its really nice catchy melodic pop rock in the Paul Alan vibe... just dont expect him to have any influences form our genre... cos he doesnt! Yeah Matt I got in touch with Simon last year after you told me about his music and he sent me a CD a few days later. Nothing at all heavy, just some really nice pop/rock songs. And yes, recommended to fans of Paul Alan. Thanks for the recommendation, on initial listen I thought the music was ok so I'll keep revisitng his myspace page and see if it grows on me. Cheers.
  11. Can't wait for Sgt Roxx also heard some new tunes on their myspace page I've never heard before :- Sgt Roxx How about re-releasing the singers post band Monkey Cocktail cds? Indie released on cdbaby and could sell more copies on a better distribution scale. I was lucky to by the first release when they were Dying Breed from a kind soul on here and a very good price

I haven't had time to listen properly yet either. Too much good music so little time, it doesnt help if i like one song I tend to listen to it 1000 times over.
  13. Thanks, I would buy the blackfish cd if they ever put it out via cdbaby etc.., I will try to listen to My Little Funhouse, just never seem to find the time to listen to my purchases/downloads
  14. Slightly off topic but didn't their drummer join the band Revolution Hazy at one time? I mention them from time to time on these boards as really liked their album and keep hoping for a re-release with added hanky panky tracks too. The demos of hanky panky I really like the ballad "Used to be you" the singers voice is haunting on that track. Sometimes the demo quality gives songs a really great atmosphere, especially that ballad. Ermm just like Tres Chics "memory lane" another band lost in the shuffle, they need to put their other tracks (better ones imo) on the myspace page, rant over
  15. I was looking for Erotic Suicide or ES3 (later called) on myspace as they had a track called something like Jack n coke which was really good not on any of their cd's. Does anyone have it and willing to upload it? Back in the day when I was obsessed with image I purchased their debut 3 times just for the differing covers. Much prefer the 2nd cd, barely play the debut. Any other good tracks unreleased by the band? Cheers
  16. I use this web utility Rip files from webpages Copy and past the myspace url and then look for any .mp3 files. I have the my little funhouse cd (Standunder, dont know if they have others??) and haven't really played it, one of the last cd I ever purchased (about 3-4 months ago). If I dont like I will put it on my trade/sell list. You can buy it on ebay (UK) quite regular, I think I paid as little as £2 for it.
  17. This was a grower but now to me it's just as good as his first solo cd. Hard to describe his music its a mixture of modern sounding pop/rock/aor, If I like Paul Alan who else might I like? I really enjoyed enjoyed Noveaux and though I primarily like guitar based music I didnt really miss it from his solo stuff (well there is guitar there its just not as prominent).
  18. Greetings, Just wondering if anyone ever got hold of a copy of blackfish 2? A fan page on myspace is Blackfish I have ripped the three tracks from the 2nd cd from the myspace page, so if anyone doesn't know how too I will hapily upload them. From the three songs it does sound more modern than the 1st cd but still melodic and enjoyable

Wow man, I would love to hear these! Please. I actually really love this CD. Whilst I can acknowledge it is a little by-the-numbers it still really, really appeals to me. I have about 4 songs off this on my Ipod, I think. Love this album. As for Raquel Darrian, zomfg. She was my fave off that whole scene too. I was completely in love with her. Here we go, sorry its a bit late Raquel - Uptight Apparently it can only be downloaded 10 times though! Also check out Love, Hate, Survival and drive I posted about them ages ago and no-one really seemed interested but I think they're really good. Do a search for them on myspace!

Suprisingly of all places I downloaded Raquel - uptight, which seems to be a collection of demos (8 tracks) from a thread on metal sludge. Same band, not as good as s/t but not bad at all. If anyone else wants it, I could upload it. Just recommend me the best free fileserver place. Cheers
  21. Vamp Le stat had a website and I contacted the band wow must have been about 2-3 years ago, they were re-issuing both of their cds (Blodline was the other) and had just released a new one. I thought I posted it on here, if not maybe someone else did. Add KK Wilde "Cocaine cowboys" to that list :-)
  22. Can't believe I forgot all about Blackfish's 2nd cd, really want to hear that!
  23. Shame on 3 Chords and the truth they didnt do some kind of double cd and have all versions of the songs.
  24. Apparently the masters are in some warehouse and without some kind of financial offering nobody is in hurry to find them. Something was said along those lines on Vains website and/or forum. Shame.
  25. Greetings, I'm very happy that Sgt Roxx is getting released, what are your favourite bands output that need official releases? To start off I think someone needs to put some money into helping Vain - All those strangers see the light of day. Not forgetting Revolution Haze - s/t, love, survival and drive (though you can buy their songs digitally from their MySpace page) and Tres chic (Similar to enuff znuff, hoping there is better quality version of their songs too than the demos I have). Favourite cds I never thought I would see are Flesh – Book of Malchus, Swingin Thing – Keep on swingin and King of the hill.
