  1. Is it me or I don't see a place or a date ?
  2. QUIET RIOT, kinda started the whole metal into the mainstream back in 1983, Who remembers the first time they heard METAL HEALTH back in 1983 ?
  3. I enjoyed the Dee Snider book, it was pretty cool reading about the band's club days and knowing I was at some of those shows back in the club dayz.
  4. I know in the South Jersey area, women from 30 to 60 consider Jon a God from his glory days. He seems like a good guy always helping out with different causes. I have heard he never refuses to take a photo with a fan, which is pretty cool.
  5. If you have to " ask is it gay ?".... it is pretty gay most of the time....
  6. just had a t-bone medium well last night....with some A-1 sauce
  7. more of a favorite local band THE DEAD END KIDS with Bill Mattson, Kelly James and Georgie Rumbol...the last time they got back together, they back the house, but that was close to 10 years back...
  8. I don't go out of my way to watch it, but it did hold my attention when I came across it a few times....
  9. Great stuff, always look forward to your writings..
  10. Yesterday at work, at young kid maybe 21 or 22 was at my counter and the Who's "Who are You" was playing on the radio and the kid says cool the opening song for CSI. I say yeah, it is the Who. He looks at me like I have three heads and didn't have a clue what I was talking about. I mean he was young, but how in the hell can you not know the WHO...
  11. We got lucky here in South Jersey, I live in Deptford. We didn't even lose power, but about 45 minutes north and south of us got clobbered. Parts of some shore towns are totally gone. Where I work in Penna, many sections are still without power.
  12. I'm about 40 miles out of Atlantic City, where the storm is going hit first. We have been getting heavy rain and wind since about midnight and they say the storm is still about 250 miles off shore.....stuff on the deck is secured, I'm a little worried about the 4 skylights we have, two in my loft where my music collection is.....might move some stuff around up there
  13. The stub says December 31, 1974 10:00 PM show, so I guess with a opening act , the show could have ran into 1975. But, I just gave him a call and doesn't remember ever seeing the DOLLS, which doesn't mean he didn't, just that he doesn't remember. I found a site that had all the FILLMORE EAST shows listed and matched up the dates he had. You would think a Beacon Theater list would be out there somewhere. Thanks for your help, I'm going to do some more searching tonight..
  14. I'm trying to find out what group played the Beacon Theater in NYC on December, 31, 1974, a old friend has a ticket stub which only shows the date and can't remember what group it was. I did a few searches and came up with nothing ? Any help would be great...thanks in advance...
  15. This is going back a year or so, I was going thru a tub of cd's and came across Detente..."Recognize No Authority"...Price Killers version. Opened it up and no cd ? I had to open each cd and check if it was in one of the other cases, but no such luck. I guess I should have bought the case with the inserts anyway. There's a Price Killers version on EBAY going for 300.00. Ouch... Has anyone ever bought just the case without the cd ?
  16. Funny story about Banshee, a couple weeks ago on my drive to work, I pass a bar which I have driven by for the last 10 years or so. On a Budwieser coming event sign it say this Sat. Banshee playing live. Thinking it was just a cover band, not the "Cry in The Night/ Race Against Time" group. I kinda just forgot about until I passed the sign again the following Monday. So, I checked their Facebook, sure enough they played Freddie's Bar in Bristol, Pa. that Sat. night. It's a small place maybe could hold 150 people at most. But, it would have been being cool to check the show out.
  17. Nice find, I remember a few of those bands. What flea market ?
  18. Bill Haight owned The Galaxy and Wolfe Records, Robert Leese ran the studio part and did most of the studio production stuff. Britny Fox first recordings also came out of that studio under the Wolfe Records Label. I believe B. Fox, Tangier, Ivory Tower, Funhouse, a compelation cd, and a female vocalist cd were the only recordings to come out under the Wolfe Records label. Until today I found a 12" single from the group "Division One" (Sweat) on Wolfe Records, I couldn't wait to get home and put this unknown record on my turntable. To my shock it was RAP...wtf...from 1991...perhaps the last recording under the Wofle Label. A ton of groups recorded demo's and short ep's, but they were released under the group's own name or label. Nothing from the band Cintron is on any of the tapes I have from the Galaxy, just stuff from Public Enemy, Ragdoll, Money/USA and Cinderilla. Is this the band Cintron from North Jersey or NY that put a lp out ?
  19. She must have been "Metal Thrashing Mad" to hit him with a "Fistful of Metal".....
  20. KIX is playing Dewey Beach, DE. in a few weeks (20 mins. North of Ocean City, MD.).Are you going to that show..? What's the date of that show?
  21. Don't remember ever going to the Cricket Club, I think I was at Studio One a couple of times. But, speaking of CITY GARDENS in Trenton, it was a basic cinderblock dump across from one of the worst housing projects in Trenton. I saw the RAMONES for the first time around 1981 or 82 there. Also, the PLASMATICS around the same time. They really didn't start booking metal acts until 84-85. I remember VENOM being one of the first metal shows, after that they had a ton of great shows SLAYER< MEGADETH, OVERKILL, SOD, NUCLEAR ASSAULT, DANZIG, and I'm sure I'm forgetting many more. The CITY GARDENS always had a weird mix of Nazi Skinheads, Punks, Metalheads and just regular fans. It's still standing, I believe it is now a auto repair shop. THE EXTENSION TAVERN in Trenton. A few blocks over from City Gardens, and a much safer area, had some goods bands for awhile TANTRUM, HEATHEN's RAGE (don't remember seeing them at City Gardens), DRUNKEN ANGEL, LOST, also a band called WITCHHAMMER which had Tim & Byran Kelly in the group. MASTER FURY was another great band that played there, awsome live group. The place is now a strip club called Stevie Tee's.
  22. GALAXY in Somerdale, NJ.....the heartbeat of the whole South Jersey scene, SAINTS IN HELL, BRITNY FOX, TANGIER, TEEZE, HEAVEN'S EDGE, FUNHOUSE, IVORY TOWER, CINDERILLA,KRANK and hundreds of other bands over the years, closed and reopened a few time and closed for good 1990 or 91. Sat empty for over ten years before becoming a pet store.
