Jeez that 'Coming home' disc is a good one. A seriously good album that has got me excited about seeing these guys on Sunday. 'Sticks and Stones' is still a bit "baby-ish" for me, but 'Coming home' delivers.

 

And for the first time:

 

New Found Glory - 'Not without a fight' (2009); not bad at all. Definitely along the same lines as 'Coming home'. Not as many great songs, but some balls behind this one and these guys have come from some horrid, horrid beginnings to actually sound like a pretty respectable band these days.

Alkaline Trio - 'Agony and Irony' ; wow, not bad at all. MILES better than those older albums I'd heard. I quite dig this... Could be a good show from these guys too.

This afternoon is proof that there is just too much good new music to keep up. That album was great, and I'm only two songs into this:

 

From First to Last - s/t ; but this sounds great too. Heaps better than the other 2 albums I have from these guys. Both these CDs were released in 2008 and if I'd heard them then I'd be well prepared for Sunday and seeing them live... but I really must cram 'em in my ears now!
