Another one I've posted before,  but it deserves to be in this thread.

As i've stated previously, this is an a cappella group and every sound you hear is done vocally. Mind blowing talent!

This is another great example of "Dark Country".

Johnny Horton - Comanche  (The Brave Horse).

This one is really old school.

"Comanche", BTW, was the name of General Custer's horse.

I love the way the "beat" slows then stops at the end to signify his death.

I loved this track when I was little.

This is genre that I love, but I'm not as up to date as I should be with the recent stuff, so I'm gonna stick with the old school shit I grew up with.

This is a Country song for sure, but Gene Pitney was more of a Pop artist at the time. Had some Legendary tracks.

BTW, if you haven't seen the movie, then do so immediately!

Not really a fan of old school country but i love new country artists which for me is basically melodic rock/aor with a country twang.

What do you think of this one from 1983?

An old school classic, but not as old as my previous posts.

Ronnie Milsap was a legendary artist at the time. A blind Country music Pianist/Vocalist.

I've always loved this track.

Yeah, I've always felt that Country music from all eras has never been that far removed from the music that we all love in some form.

I'm finding myself in not only a Country mood, but also a Western mood.

When it comes to old school/new school transition, Mid 80s Dwight Yoakam was as good as it gets.
