Also, has anyone heard of Black Rain?

"BLACK RAIN WAS POST ROXUS, SAID TO FEATURE JEFF PARIS ON GUITARS & BACKING VOX & PRODUCTION DUTIES, THE SONGS ARE SAID TO BE OF AN EXCELLENT CALIBRE OF HARD ROCK FROM THOSE PRIVVY TO HAVE HEARD AS I HAVE BEEN TOLD SEVERAL TIMES DRAGAN WON'T PLAY THESE TRACKS DUE TO LEGALITIES."

And does anyone know of 12 Dearrow tracks? I thought their were only 4 demos.

"THE DE ARROW TRACKS THAT HEAVILY FEATURE KEYBOARDS WERE SUBJECT TO A RELEASE FROM A WELL KNOWN JAPANESE LABEL. MAIN MAN NOEL HART WAS ALL FOR IT BUT... SOMEONE ELSE BLOCKED THE RELEASE, FORGOT HIS NAME BUT HE PASSED AWAY LAST YEAR AFTER A LONG BATTLE WITH AN ILLNESS. PERHAPS, NOW, ONE DAY THESE TRACKS ( 12 ? ) MAY SEE THE LIGHT."

I'm not sure I have that 'Paris Sessions' album... how's the quality? I'd like to hear it.

I have seen the track list for the second album once. I think Andrew had it up on melodicrock.com once when there were rumours about it seeing the light of day one year. I remember one song about a candle in the window or wind or something... ;)

The quality is not bad and the songs are excellent. The link to dl is still active at Hard Rock AOR Heaven blog.

I found a track list for the 2nd album-

01. Don't Stop

02. All The Way

03. What You Don't Know

04. Borderline

05. Stop Playing With My Heart

06. Body Heat

07. Spagetthi Wire [instrumental]

08. Invisible Man

Seems all of these tracks are covered in the Paris Sessions so in effect the 2nd Roxus album is 'out there'.

Don't forget Juno released a solo album, but it didn't feature the Billy Thorpe cover. some of songs that Juno sang with Jeff features on Jeff's cd " Freak Flag".

JC, 3 of the songs on the 2nd list for the Roxus's sophomore album were in contention to be released on the debut.

I have a 15 track cdr of De Arrow's recordings, the band have many more of different versions of songs but they are in personel's vault.

Nice! Would love to obtain those De Arrow recordings...I thought they only had 4 songs. Can you rip it and send me the MP3s?

  • 11 months later...

This was also available as Roxus - Rocked Us!

Worth getting for the cover of All Right Now, which from memory was a B Side to an early single.

    • So some may remember that Tyketto toured recently and aside from Forever Young, I never delved into this band. So I did, so I'd know the songs in concert and was blown away. A great band with an awesome catalog that I had missed out on. To be fair, in the 80's it was a lot harder to access and find out about a lot of the more fringe bands, that's my excuse anyway. So I now am faced with digging deeper into some other bands I've overlooked. Some of these I gave a go, and wasn't really impressed, but now I'm starting fresh with an open mind. So below is a list of bands I have eitehr never bothered with, or never really gave a proper go. Lizzy Borden is on the list and I have done a bit of their stuff and like it a lot, so I will definately dig deeper into them (I've got some older stuff and some newer stuff, but have skipped quite a few albums) But the others, fire away, tell me which bands have killer material that I'll froth and how stppid I've been to skip them. • I like the album art. I love when contemporary Glam Metal bands have album art with a genuine 80s vibe to it.
    • Nope, for a while, I used to think Rapunzel from Tangled (2010) was hot... But then I stopped being attracted to cartoon characters.
    • This is definitely the first time I've heard about it, I'll have to give it a listen!
