Of course I NEVER click on the link in the email. I always go to my facebook page to see who they are. 99% of the time there is no friend request there. So I know its a scam. A lot of the time I do a search for them and find their pages to be almost empty and all they have is a bunch of "guy' friends. Probably all fake too. WTF is up with all that crap? They are just some dude on the other side of the world trying to get you Friend them so they can spam you with more crap or entice you to click on a porn link and maybe infect your PC with some spyware or adware. Chris Posted August 2, 2010 Report Share Posted August 2, 2010 What it is, is a ploy to get you to friend them, then they send you a link that you click on and they can take over your account and spam your friends with shit. Tell tale signs are 1) You don't know who it is 2) You have no friends in common and 3)They used "friend finder" or "friend tool" to find you. Definitely avoid!!
