Foxx - s/t and 'Stick it out'

What about these guys? Anyone check out these 2 nice, solid discs from Retrospect? I got some demos from these guys ages ago and it's nice to see them brought to the masses in an affordable format. Plus there's some tunes here I missed out on before. Always loved songs like 'Midnight', 'Love transfusion' and 'Don't go,' for example. But spread out over two discs, there's not really a noticably weak moment on the two. Even 'Big Jake' is a bit of harmless fun. IMO this band is a must for "hair metal" enthusiasts.

I've got an album called 'Grand Finale' - same band? I seem to re-call they had some pretty cool tunes though the sound was very much demo quality.

Yeah, 'The Grand Finale' is the CDR I have. A lot of the songs are the same that appear on the two Retrospect albums. However, the sound quality on my CDR was not too bad I don't think, and the sound quality on the Retrospect albums is not "polished" by any means, but it's good, proper sound quality. More than adequate enough to enjoy the tunes without being concerned about the quality. :)

Recently acquired the s/t CD from Retrospect. I like it, quite heavy in places, no real standouts for me yet, maybe 'Night Machine' as my favourite track so far. 'P.T.L.' is awful though, can't believe it made it onto this CD, a really poor track imo.

Geoff, in light of some of your other posts (especially in the Introductions Forum) I thought your favourite track was bound to be 'Party Naked'! ;)

Haha. Yeah, I do like 'Party naked' and crack a little smile when it hits the speakers.
