Jeez the 2nd, later version of this song is crap. Original is, of course, a classic.

The original is a classic and one of the best ballads ever written IMO.

 

I didn't really see the point in re-recording it with a different punk style but it did grow on me a little after repeated listens but I much prefer the original.

I have the Thickskin release as well. Good cd, but I didn't care for the I Remember You Too...leave well enough alone I say.

Yeah, I've heard it the first time I ever spun 'Thickskin' too. After that I skipped it everytime.

It's a decent indication of what the vibe on 'RPM' was, but not 'Thickskin'. That was a good, "proper" Skid Row album, just without Bach on vocals. 'RPM' is more punky and less Skid Row, like this song.

Oh yeah Thickskin kicks ass IMO and is worth being in your collection. Kind of a mix between Slave and Subhuman Race but modernized a little bit. RPM wasn't that great as Geoff said and is more punky and less Skid Row.
