Very Sad News.. Babylon Bombs!

Just heard the new that lead singer Dani has left the band.

These guys were the BEST thing in Melodic Hard Rock in 20 years. I would put them a touch above the better known bands - H.E.A.T., Crash Diet, Vains Of Jenna, etc...

Their album they released last year "Babylon's Burning" produced by the great Chris Laney was my album of the year by a long way and I'm just very sad that this great band with unlimited potential will no longer be the same.

The good news is the band have decided to move forward and are writing new tracks with a new singer from Stockholm that is yet to be named.

Does anyone else feel my pain?? I very rarely write on these notice boards (always read them though) but I felt like I had to get this off my chest...

Kind regards

Dave

That's sad news indeed! I wouldn't class 'em higher than the bands you mentioned (except Vains of Jenna), but I really, really liked this band since their 2003 demo!

The new singer could turn out surprisingly good, but I have strong doubts that they are still going to write the songs, as Dani used to be the main-songwriter. Hopefully he's still lending some of his songwriting-skills to the band!

Yeah, it's shame. The last album was great and it would have been good to see them keep that ball rolling. But yeah, as noted, maybe the new lead singer's just as good or better. It is a shame, though. As for being better than Crashdiet and HEAT, don't agree there but they absolutely DESTROY Vains of Jenna, no doubt.

Yeah, 'tis a shame he left. But it maybe for the better, lets wait and see...
