Delany - Blaze and Ashes

Just seen a couple of reviews of this album, sounds very interesting. It's a concept album based around a German novel and has three well-known vocalists - David Readman, Lana Lane and Davy Vain.

Not heard any of the tracks yet, just wondering if anyone else has heard it and if so, any opinions?

Cheers

James

Yeah, very good disc. I thought I mentioned it somewhere here, but must have just been in the 'First spins' thread. The highlights for me were hearing a few vintage Vain tracks metalled up a bit. Davy Vain's tracks are the highlight, imo, although Readman (who's style this album suits most) is great as always too. Having not previously known Lana Lane's work, I also enjoyed her tracks a lot too.

It's a really weird combo with Vain and Readman, but it works well. Good disc. In all honesty maybe not too amazing, but solid.

Cheers Kristian and Geoff for the comments, listened to some samples on Youtube and it isn't really my cup of tea. Quite prog-ish to my ears, would have preferred a little more heaviness. Good music, but not my taste really.

This disk has a few boring moments, but for the most part, it's a great release. I'm a huge Readman fan!
