I'm gonna go against the tide here and vote for "The Prisoner." I always loved that "I AM NOT A NUMBER, I AM A FREE MAN" intro.

 

 

Yea I ALMOST went with Prisoner too Man.....*Chuckles* I do LOVE that intro...... But, Number of the Beast is just THAT Much better Ya know?? Least to Me.....

 

It probably wasn't the first song from NUMBER OF THE BEAST that I heard, but back in the day I had taped "The Prisoner" from a metal radio show and listened to that one song over and over and over and OVER again till I finally had enough $$ to go out and buy the tape, so when you get right down to it, "The Prisoner" was the song that got me whole-hog into Maiden

Ahhh.. The first song I ever heard from Maiden was "Aces High" Actually... See, My first album was "Live After Death" And Aces High was the first song, so..*Chuckles*

 

After that though I hunted up ALL of their tapes..*L* And then, later on I got the special 2 CD editions of the first ten..*Just HAD to throw that in..*L*

OK , I have re-listened to this and have to go with Hallowed Be Thy Name........but only by a whisker over The Prisoner.

 

To be honest tho they are all great (excepy maybe Gangland?).
