Couple of weeks to go so not going to comment but I'd say the second half of the year is better than the first and I need to listen to this White Widdow everybody is raving about quickly. Got the Harem Scarem on now and this one likely to be in my top 10, at least.

It's way better than having two Queensryche. I'm curious. Everything from Queensryche and Tate since Empire has had moments of greatness with interludes of complete shite. The bar isn't that high.

Perhaps more than any other release scheduled for next year this one has me excited. Not sure about the name, mind you...

I went to see them last night in Munich. Amazing. The guitarist is a star, one of those guys who just makes it look easy. The vocalist top notch as well. I'd heavily recommend.

When I saw Vain earlier in the year it was billed as the last tour.

I loved the sound city film He seems a genuine guy with a passion for music. Whether you like his music , or not, surely that counts for a lot?

Think I'm changing my favourite of the year from Vega to this one. Loving it.

I really like this one. Just did a road trip from Las Vegas to Flagstaff and had it on most of the way. Really enjoyed it. Simple rock but effective.

Just gave the Angels or Kings a spin and this is one I'll be coming back to. Very very good on first spin. Reminds me of No Sweat.

I've been really disappointed. But having said that I've never been bored. Many good discs but very little of outstanding quality. But at least we have a constant stream of albums coming out we're interested in listening to.

Not sure it was a good idea to listen to this straight after the Crazy Lixx. Didn't grab me. I'll give it one more spin.

Halestorm been recording so they must have something out soon. And from their facebook site been trying to decide on a name for the album. Not seen a date though. Perhaps early as they've just announced a tour.

I was going to start a thread suggesting there are no classic albums this year .Up until the Vega album I've not heard anything that keeps on pulling me back and I can't wait to start listening to again as soon as I wake up. Vega seems to be that album. Keeps on growing on me every spin. I don't get the hype over WoA. It's solid enough with some nice tunes but I can't see myself listening to it again in a years time. I've enjoyed a lot of albums but there just seems to be a lack of genuine deep quality this year?

Really really enjoying this one. Going to be in my fave albums of the year for sure.

Not sure what 'this one' was but just loaded up the latest Bernie Torme album 'Flower and Dirt'. Liked a lot of the stuff he's been involved with in the past so looking forward to this.

Finally arrived here in Europe. After the first spin I can say for sure it's Mr Big. All the trademark stuff is there. I quite enjoyed it. Let's see how I feel after a few spins.

He's put on some weight, but has managed to look fairly young. Isn't that what all of us are aiming for as optimal these days?

They are playing in the village next to where I live soon. Will have to check them out.

Couple of spins and I like it. Nothing world beating but good solid sleeze rock with plenty of hooks.

Still one of my favorite albums from the last couple of years. And this one of the best songs. He does look like a young Toby Jebson though?
