Firestream forum, which i visit every now and then, has this... and its really cool. However like the chat function if we did have something people would really need to make sure they kept using it.... i think most have forgotten already about some of the functions on the main site..
that's why I was saying that entries would need to expire over a period of time. there would be no point reading entries from 2 years ago.
so where is this firestream forum thingy?

On the main site, in addition the 'I Own It' and the 'I want It' options, what's the possibility of a 'I Have A Spare Copy' option?
That way people could basically upload their tradelists to the main site.
Of course not just any one and everyone, but 'approved' people apfter a certain amount of post or time on the message boards.
Also, lisitngs would have to 'expire' over time such that redundant lists aren't left there for years on end.
I find that the discs I wan't are the ones I look at, not the ones I have spares of. If I want it... and someone has it I can see straight away.
Thouhgts?
Possibilities?

any further gossip of the crashdiet link?
-
we never did see the pics!
yeah, I remembered that once I recalled this post from obscurity.
I'll get some up soon... like when I remember

as would the Message CD cause that thing goes for £60 these days
except for the 2 on ebay at the moment selling for $18 and $20 'buy it now'.

Hopefully this story will soon have a happy ending.

DOn't bother with rack. Shelves are the way to go! Simply slide em over, rather than pulling them all over and re-inserting.
Back in the day , when I did have a rack, at the end of each row or column, I'd leave 3-4 spare spots for the next few that come in that happin to fit it approximately that position. That way i'd only need to re-arrange 15-20, as apposed to 1500-2000.
Now with shelves I just wait until I've given them a listen and then I file.

Let's not forget Peepshow 'Out For Blood' either!

Danger are finally accepting paypal.
Pick up copies of their old eps before they go. Apparently once the current stock is gone...that is it!
-
Crue would win a poll cos everyone knows them, but it was half a good album, half a poor album in my opinion.
'Danger' are pretty good too.

I went and saw these guys on saturday night and they were pretty damn good. Quite a crowd for a local band aswell. Guessing maybe 150 people in quite a small room.
A bit more metal to what I used to listening to, but they were great to watch. As tight as any band around, and the vocalist is incredible. Sensational voice and he acts almost possessed on stage (or maybe it's just all the drugs from back in the day).
They had a 3 track ep availalbe for sale at the gig so i picked up a copy of that.... not band, but no comparison to their live show.
I guessing these guys would mainly appeal to fans of classic 80's metal (ie priest), but they have a definite 80's melodic hari metal streak in them. This is a band that someone like Retrospect or Eonian should be picking up - top quality.

Wow... what an awesome track!

Bastardz - Jungle Outlawz (my suggestion for glam album of 2008).
I also love Hell City Glamours - s/t ... although this isn't glam, but it is sleazy!
-
Apparently shotgun messiah are writing some new stuff.
Not sure what the line up is though. I just read something about it on the sleazeroxx forum.

Dig up the 'Crazy' EP by Teargas!

Linds do you have Firesign? You might like that... Aussie indie..
no haven't got that one.
what do they sound like?
-
Also, as I juts said on my commonet on the main page, this is one of few Aussie indies from the 90's that don't sound 'pub rock'
-
I just picked up 'Circus Zombies - Another Timeless Classic'.
This is pretty good. Think Skid Row meets GnR with a sprinkling of Black Crowes.
Never heard of them before but I recalled the name from the HH database.
anyone know if these guys did anything else?
O you poor bastard! Thats all i can say...
I had that long ago, thought it was rubbish. From memory i thought it was kinda a mix of Aerosmith and Candy Harlots...
I can't see any Aerosmith in it. Candy Ahrlots... a little. But more GnR, FPC, Skid ROw..
I think we should have a ruling:
Lindsay likes = Matt hates = sleaze
Simlarly,
Matt likes = Lindsay hates = aor
Also,
Geoff = emo

Bearing in mind the ordinary quality of these vids, this band is one to keep an eye on.. Australia's own Diamond Sins.
Hardcore Superstar meets Misfits meets Faster Pussycat
hopefully a disc is not too far away!!
Just found out that this friday will be their last gig before they enter the studio to record an ep!

I had half a listen to CObra Dane last night and will probably also be joining the Cobra Dane Australian Fan CLub
-
I've always thought that the Johnny Lima discs were some under rated gems.

These guys are from your hometown aren't they Lindsay? I remember seeing an add for them in a rave magazine or somewhere and was curious about them at the time. Have they put out any releases?
Yeah, they're from Adelaide.
They haven't released anything yet, but have been gigging quite consistantly for the last 18 months. They should be at a point quite soon where they can put some quality tracks down as they have some really good originals.
