Those are some good prices. Mass-Voices in the Night for $10. Pretty sweet. Although the shipping costs are a bit high, her in-store prices are tough to beat.

KISS MY DISC Canadian Division GRAND OPENING!
koogles replied to koogles's topic in Good and Bad Traders, Buyers, and Sellers
Don't miss the point here, folks. It may seem like another round of bickering and bitching on the surface, but this news of Sam's "label" (provided he can obtain the proper licensing/permission from the artists/labels) is actually a breath of fresh air and may actually be a step forward of sorts. Now, for the first time, he is taking a credible stand on whether or not his CDs are "reissues" or originals. By using words like "re-issue" and "official", I finally detect a trace of honesty and legitimacy in his salesmanship. We finally know what we're getting, provided he does this with full artistic consent (like Wounded Bird or SongHaus). This was all I wanted in the first place... the knowledge of whether or not the CD(s) he was selling was original or reissue. I still question the reason for this move.. could it be out of a need to shed his "bootleg" image or is this label going to be an outlet for more bootlegging under the guise of legitimacy? Or is Sam truly trying to straighten out and fly right? -

Hi! I bought my Shelter CD off Paradisenowproductions, which is JT Shelter himself. It was a 100% satisfactory in every way, and I highly recommend him. Mind you, I live in Canada and didn't have to wait a long time to have it delivered. The reason things are slow here lately is due to the assinine number of postal holidays lately. Here's the explanation. Postal workers already have weekends off (no delivery) so that differs from the US, where there's Saturday service. In the event that a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday (as it did with both Christmas AND New Year's this year), the postal service takes the next business days off to mark the holiday. Hence, because Christmas fell on a Sat, and Boxing Day on a Sunday, the letter carriers took the subsequent Monday AND Tuesday off work. That's four days without any movement in the mail system. Then, after Wed through to Fri processing the backlog (which probably backed them up further), the weekend of Jan. 1/2 hit (New Year's) which meant the posties took the Monday off (to mark the New Year's Day holiday), resuming postal service on Tues. All told, Canada Post worked only 4 days out of 10 between December 25, 2004 and January 3, 2005. Factor in the Christmas volume and the backlog and bad weather as well (esp. this past week) and you have one seriously taxed/stressed-out system. Give it some time, and above all, don't blame JT. He's a good guy- both musically and personally. I have every confidence you'll get the CD soon. koogles

Some of the worst I've seen this year: COLD CREEK MANOR (laughably bad) SUSPECT ZERO (complete waste of time) EXORCIST: The Beginning (a joke, right?) HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES (a muddled mess) THE GRUDGE (repetitive and pointless) KING ARTHUR (no spark, boring) Worst this year: HOTEL (pretentious art-house nonsense) Other bad movies from the past: THE FIFTH ELEMENT (hoky Bruce Willis nonsense) HUDSON HAWK (hoky Bruce Willis nonsense) ARMAGEDDON (hoky Bruce Willis nonsense)

Haha.... good one. But rest assured, once I get enough money together for an advertising budget, I'll be sure to use your ego for a billboard!!! (haha) koogs

And one more thing. About Metal Mayhem, hell.. it's anybody's guess why he's singin' the NARU blues. The way eBay works, maybe his brother's ex-girlfriend's second cousin's neice's godfather got kicked off eBay and they traced it back to him and suspended his sorry ass. Ebay works in MYSTERIOUS ways, as PJ pointed out. koogles

Folks... let's step outside of this 15", 17", whatever inch screen for a minute and look at the world around us. If it's customer service you're in, guess what... the customer is always RIGHT! And that puts us as sellers in distant second, somewhere between a pandering kiss-ass and a pissed off babysitter. It doesn't matter what level of business you're in, online CDs or inline skates, it's the nature of the beast. And it boils down to whether or not you're cut out for the customer service industry. Some are, many are not. Ebay is business like any other, and I think many feel that somehow it is supposed to be immune from all the "real world" bullsh*t, but it clearly is not. I believe that my many years as a CSO at National Car Rental have translated to better dealings in the online economy. And I don't forget these roots when I operate my endangeredcds company. A company isn't as much the products you sell (or where you get them) but how you sell them and what you do to back them up, service-wise. Selection. Price. Service. The three key elements to running your own business. koogles Trump
